Pairings Set For 2013 Skyline Baseball Championship

NEW YORK, NY - Vying for its sixth consecutive league title, Farmingdale State is the top seed for the six-team Skyline Baseball Championship, which commences on Wednesday, May 1. 

The Rams (25-10) posted a 15-1 mark in conference play and earned a first round bye, as did 2012 runner-up Old Westbury (22-13-1).  Single-elimination contests on Wednesday include No. 5 Maritime visiting No. 4 St. Joseph's-L.I., while sixth-seeded Mount Saint Mary travels to No. 3 Purchase.  

The setting then shifts to Farmingdale State from May 3-5 in a double-elimination format.

Game #1: Wednesday, May 1 -  #5 Maritime at #4 St. Joseph's-L.I. (single elimination)
Game #2: Wednesday, May 1 -  #6 Mount Saint Mary at #3 Purchase (single elimination)

Game #3: Friday, May 3 - Winner Game #1 at #1 Farmingdale State - 4:00 p.m.
Game #4: Friday, May 3 - Winner Game #2 vs. #2 Old Westbury - 7:00 p.m.

Game #5: Saturday, May 4 - Winner Game #3 vs. Winner Game #4 - 10:00 a.m.
Game #6: Saturday, May 4 - Loser Game #3 vs. Loser Game #4 - 1:00 p.m.
Game #7: Saturday, May 4 - Loser Game #5 vs. Winner Game #6 - 4:00 p.m.

Game #8: Sunday, May 5 - Winner Game #5 vs. Winner Game #7 - 11:00 a.m.
Game #9: Sunday, May 5 - (if necessary) - 2:00 p.m.
