Farmingdale, N.Y. - Sophomore pitcher Chris Dragone threw a perfect game in Farmingdale State's 11-0 game one victory over Skyline opponent Yeshiva University this afternoon. The Rams defeated the Maccabees 10-0 in the second game of the doubleheader to complete the sweep.

Dragone (2-1) struck out seven batters over seven innings of work en route to his first career perfect game.

In game one, Farmingdale State (7-6, 2-0) was led offensively by freshman first baseman Ryan Levine who was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Freshman left fielder Michael Scarlato was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, while freshman shortstop Matthew Zsevc had a hit and scored two runs.

In the second game, sophomore centerfielder Nicholas Ventricelli was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and 2 RBI. Junior catcher Eric Wiener batted 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 RBI and two runs scored, while freshman second baseman Thomas Rydzewski had two hits, a run scored and an RBI. The Rams used six pitchers who combined to allow only one hit in the victory.
