Mailman, a sophomore catcher from Medway, Mass., led the Leopards to a 6-2 week, batting .655 (19-for-29) with 15 runs batted in, nine runs scored, five doubles, one triple and a stolen base. Mailman batted safely and drove in or scored at least one run in each of Wentworth’s eight games. Among his six multiple-hit games, Mailman collected two four-hit games in a doubleheader sweep of Colby-Sawyer in which he drove in seven runs.

The last time there was a tie for National Hitter of the Week was May 3-9, 2010, when John Slick of Bethel (Minn.) and Jacob Millen of Moravian shared batting honors.

In a week in which there were four no-hitters, Rossmiller, a senior from Butler, Pa., stood out by throwing the first perfect game and fifth no-hitter in Thiel history and the 16th in NCAA Division III in a 14-0 win over Hiram on Friday at Tomcat Park. He needed just 106 pitches, 82 of them strikes, to retire the Terriers in order, striking out six batters over nine innings. He is 3-0 with a 0.78 ERA and 23 strikeouts while surrendering just 12 hits in 23.0 innings.  Also the Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 25-Mar. 3, he became the first repeat winner in one season since Matt Schuld of St. Thomas (Minn.) won the pitching award for Apr. 26-May 2 and May 3-9, 2010.  Rossmiller was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
