Grant Krally delivered a single up the middle that scored Beamenderfer and Andrew Kozusko then recorded a one-out single through the right side, 6-5. After a wild pitch moved the runners to second and third, Nolan Russell connected for a two-out, two-run single to center field and advanced on a fielding error by the center fielder. Vince Murphy capped the scoring with a double to left center to bring home Russell.

Alex Kozusko improved to 3-2 on the year with 2.2 innings of one-hit relief. He struck out two and walked none in relief of starter Jared Haller who earned a no-decision after yielding 11 hits and six runs (five earned) in 4.1 innings.

In the second game, Grove City struck first with two runs off of starter Michael Patsch. The Bearcats answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning on a two-run homer to center by Beamenderfer that scored Kavinsky, who doubled to lead off, 2-2.

After the Wolverines plated three runs in the top of the second, SVC re-took the lead for good with a four spot (all with two outs) in the bottom of the third inning.

Beamenderfer and Burkardt singled to lead off and Grove City retired the next two Bearcats. Krally then doubled off the middle of the fence in left-center to score both runners and went to third on a throwing error on the relay. Jordan Britcher singled up the middle to score Krally and Russell singled through the right side, putting runners on the corners. Murphy capped off the rally and gave SVC the lead back with an RBI single through the right side, 6-5.

SVC plated two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on a two-run homer to left-center by Burkardt, the all-time hits leaders 200th career hit, 8-5.

In the fifth inning, SVC added on four insurance runs as Britcher, Russell and Murphy all reached to load the bases before pinch-hitter Matt Loftis walked to bring home Britcher. Beamenderfer recorded a sacrifice fly to score Russell and with two outs, Andrew Kozusko notched a two-run single to right center, 12-5.

The Bearcats used five different pitchers in the win, with Chris Storm picking up his third win of the year in relief. He went 2.1 innings with two hits and one walk allowed. John Malone, Eric Reitz and Eamon Kelly all threw relief with Reitz and Kelly combining to allow just two hits in 3.0 innings.
