MacMurray hires Fuhle

MacMurray College has hired Justin Fuhler as the new head baseball coach for the Highlanders. He previously served as assistant coach for the team. 

In his new position at MacMurray, Fuhler will be responsible for providing leadership and instruction to the Highlander team, while also implementing new techniques for a successful recruiting season. 

Fuhler comes from a diverse coaching background. For MacMurray College, he focused on the Highlanders’ hitting and catching techniques. He previously specialized in outfield, catching and hitting as assistant baseball coach at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, IL, and assistant baseball coach at Springfield College in Springfield, IL.

The new coach earned his bachelor’s in history from McKendree College in Lebanon, IL, and received his master’s in educational leadership from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN.

Fuhler replaces Andrew Bartman, who accepted a coaching position at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS. Bartman was 7-29 in 2013.
