Junior Chris Cutrone threw a complete-game shutout as St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) split a doubleheader with SUNYIT, dropping a 7-6 decision in game one before earning a 1-0 triumph in the second game on Sunday afternoon at Baseball Heaven.
Justin Kidd and Kyle Dominy combined to pitch a complete-game shutout as Oberlin blanked Valley City State, 8-0, at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Kidd earned the win as he allowed just four hits and one walk over six innings of work. Dominy earned the save without allowing a hit over the final three innings.
Birmingham-Southern edged Berry, 3-2, in the rubber game of the three-game series. The game was a pitchers' duel with BSC's Miles Nordgren getting the complete game victory. The Panthers took a 3-0 lead into the ninth and stranded the tying run on base as the game ended.
For the second consecutive weekend, second-ranked Linfield needed extra innings to get past a tough NWC foe. After 11.1 frames, Corey VanDomelen sent the game-winning RBI into right field, plating Chance Laboda for a 3-2 victory over Whitworth at Roy Helser Field.
Moravian defeated Catholic 17-3, to earn the Landmark Conference series sweep at Gillespie Field. Freshman starting pitcher Nicolas Ampietro earned his first collegiate victory after tossing 5.2 innings, allowing three runs and scattering six hits. The Moravian rookie right hander punched out five Cardinals on Sunday compared to two walks to improve his K/BB walk ratio to 11/4 in 12.2 innings this season.

Sophomore right-hander Craig Barnett retired all nine batters he face in the later innings to earn his first save of his career as Newbury took the season series from Mitchell, 2-1 with a 4-1 victory. It was the first time in program history the Nighthawks took the season series against the Mariners.
The Springfield College baseball team beat William Paterson, 7-5 in comeback fashion on Thursday being strong offense from Frank Calabrese (East Longmeadow, Mass.).
Springfield has posted a record of 5-1 on its Spring Break trip in Florida.
On Thursday, first-year Tyler Kelly (Absecon, N.J.) earned the win in relief, the first win of his collegiate career. Sophomore Dan Green (Oakland, N.J.) closed the game out on the mound for the Pride to earn the save.

Daniel Morris got the start and the win for the Lynx as he threw for six full innings, where he struck out two and walked four in his fourth win of the season. Thomas Beamish came in for the save, pitching the final three innings where he got four K's to one walk.
Freshman Hans Hansen pitched seven shutout innings and Emory completed a three-game sweep of its weekend series against DePauw defeating the Tigers 7-1 at Chappell Park. Hansen held DePauw scoreless on five hits and two walks, while striking out five batters over seven innings on 101 pitches.
No. 6 Webster took two games at GCS Ballpark. A Charlie Gandolfi walk-off single gave the Gorloks a 3-2 win in 10 innings over St. Scholastica in the opener and Zach Schneider threw seven shutout innings as Webster beat Illinois Wesleyan, 7-0, in the finale. The Gorlok offense muscled up for two home runs against the Titans.
Aaron Cohen stimied the George Fox batters, adding a lead off home run, as Whitman defeated George Fox 2-1. Cohen scattered six hits over seven innings, striking out eight with three walks in registering his second win of the season. George Fox pitcher, Tom Zarosinski threw a complete-game three-hitter for the Bruins in a losing effort.
No. 18 Shenandoah completed another winning week with a 10-6 non-league victory over Muhlenberg. Shenandoah rallied from a four-run deficit to ruin the SU homecoming for Muhlenberg head coach Tod Gross. Gross, a 2002 Shenandoah grad, is in his second season as the Mules head coach. Sunday was the first time he has competed against his alma mater on the diamond.

Gallaudet won its first game back from spring break at Hoy Field against Frostburg State as the Bison came from behind to win, 3-1, in nine innings. Gallaudet received two strong pitching performances from their top arms. Danny O'Donnell pitched seven innings, allowing five hits, four walks and struck out five. Brandon Holsworth finished off the game with two innings of scoreless relief to earn his second collegiate save of his career.
Rutgers-Newark avoid a series sweep with a 6-3 win over Occidental at Anderson Field. Scarlett Raiders took advantage of three Tigers errors to take the lead with four unearned runs in the top of the sixth. Rutgers-Neward added single runs in the next two innings for the final run total.
Piedmont got exactly what it needed to this weekend to get back in the USA South regular season race as the Lions won 4-2 to complete a three-game sweep of former conference leader Huntingdon. Piedmont got a quality performance from starter Chris Goershel on the mound in game three of the three-game set to take the two-run win.
Donnie Bradley's two hits, including a RBI single in the third, helped lead Pacific to a 7-3 win over La Verne at the Rio Hondo College field. Bradley went 2-for-3 with a run and a RBI in the victory, while leadoff hitter Nathan Suyematsu went 2-for-5 with a run and a RBI. The top five hitters in the Pacific lineup all had RBIs.
