No. Frostburg State saw its 12-game winning streak snapped by No. 15 Randolph-Macon for its first loss of the season. The Yellow Jackets slipped by Frostburg State 5-2 after a three-run eighth inning. Randolph-Macon scored three runs in the eight to break a 2-2 tie.

Amherst handed Framingham State a pair of defeats in a DH The Lord Jeffs won the opener 6-4 and then held off the Rams for a 5-4 victory in the nightcap.

No. 20 Heidelberg came from behind to defeat Farmingdale State in the final game of their Florida trip. The Student Princes started the day early by resuming the suspended game against New Paltz State, which they finished off with a 9-7 victory before rallying in the 9th inning to stun Farmingdale State 12-10, heading back to Tiffin with a 10-1 record.

Kevan House totaled three hits and two RBI, while the Texas-Tyler pitching staff allowed just one run, propelling the Patriots to a 6-1 win over non-conference opponent Centenary. The win was the seventh in-a-row for the Patriots, who evened the season-series with the Gents who beat the Patriots 14-6 in the season-opener.

Cortland pounded out 19 hits, including three homers, as the Red Dragons defeated Eastern Connecticut State, 14-2, at Pat Thomas Stadium. Donny Castaldo, Austin Clock, and Adam Smith all connected for a big fly with Clock hiting his with the bases loaded.

Behind career highs from Nick Vento and Joe Vita, Washington & Jefferson dispatched Western Pennsylvania foe Allegheny 9-1 in Florida. Vento finished 3-for-4 and a home run shy of the cycle with a career-best five RBI. Vita worked a career-best 8.0 innings and scattered seven hits and allowed just the one run and struck out a batter.

Hampden-Sydney handed Virginia Wesleyan its first conference loss, taking a 5-4 decision at Ty Cobb Ballpark. As a team, Hampden-Sydney recorded 13 hits, including a 3-for-5 day from Ryan Haynie.

Neumann opened a 7-0 lead through 1.5 innings but needed a five run ninth to secure a 12-9 win over Widener. Second baseman Kevin Case recorded a two-run single with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth to give the Knights a 10-9 lead with the next batter, Buddy Elgin, doubling for the games final two runs.

Zach Blanchard hit a grand slam and Sean Kelly followed with a solo shot in the first inning while WPI went on to accumulate 20 hits in a 17-7 non-conference baseball victory over Johnson & Wales at the New England Baseball Complex on Tuesday. The game was shortened to seven innings due to deteriorating weather conditions.

Berry erupted for 7 runs in the seventh inning to rally for an 11-10 win at Covenant. The Vikings trailed 9-4 entering the seventh and sent 10 hitters to the plate en route to knocking 6 hits and plating seven runs in the frame. Kevin Scott had a bases-loaded double which scored three runners to highlight the scoring. Berry won its fourth straight game, improved to 12-9. CC dropped to 7-10.

Junior Sam Dexter went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI as Southern Maine banged out 17 hits en route to a 16-1 victory over Worcester State in the nightcap of the teams’ doubleheader at Lake Myrtle Field. In the opening game, Worcester State used a six-run outburst in the second inning to take an 8-4 victory. 

Chapman junior John Wiehe hit a walk-off RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Panthers a 7-6 win over visiting No. 6 Kean at Hart Park. The win was Chapman’s third in a row over the perennial top-10 team and sixth in their past seven meetings, including two wins at the Division III national championships in 2011 and 2009.

Roanoke scored seven unanswered runs to take a 9-5 ODAC victory over Lynchburg. The Maroons took advantage of several defensive miscues for their third win of the season. Eight of the Roanoke starters got a hit with only Danny Creel missing out on the hit parade.

Oberlin earned a doubleheader sweep of Wilmington behind masterful pitching in game one and strong hitting in game two, securing victories by the scores of 5-2 and 12-4.  In the lid-lifter Freshman Sean Kiley turned in an amazing performance in his collegiate debut, allowing just three hits and two unearned runs over six innings of work en route to securing his first collegiate win. After registering five hits in game one, the Yeomen bats finally came to life in the nightcap as they erupted for 15 hits in the win.

Sophomore rightfielder JP Batts, collected six RBI over two games to power Hope to a 9-2 and 6-4 sweep of Grinnell, in Winter Haven, Florida. The Flying Dutchmen rebounded from their first loss of the season to raise their overall record to 4-1.

Following a hugh upset on Monday with a win over Birmingham Southern, William Paterson showed no hangover and improved to 6-1 this season with a 9-2, 14-10 sweep of Ripon at the Central Florida Invitational.

No. 5 Birmingham-Southern used the long ball to defeat Endicott 13-2. The Panthers knocked three home runs including back-to-back bombs in the eighth inning by senior Jacob Mayfield and sophomore Zach Wingate in the win.

Keystone rallied with two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning over Plattsburgh State to walk off with a 4-3 victory before earning a 9-2 victory over Johns Hopkins, currently ranked 24th in the country, to complete a 2-0 day in Florida. The Giants will take a 6-2 record into the final day of their spring break trip following their two wins today.

LeTourneau completed its second-straight series sweep of local rival, East Texas Baptist with a 4-0 win at Conrad-Vernon Field.  The YellowJackets were led by another dominant pitching performance from senior Justin Jenkins. Jenkins struck out 10 and limited the Tigers to just five hits in the win to raise his record to 2-1. It is the third-consecutive appearance that Jenkins has struck out at least 10. Taylor Empkey and Kyle Jacobs each had two hits to pace an eight-hit attack.

Eastern Mennonite suddenly have a winning streak against Bridgewater (Va.). After trading leads with the Eagles, the opportunistic Royals scored three runs in the bottom of the 11th inning to grab a 7-6 win against their rivals.  Eastern Mennonite broke a long losing skid to the Eagles late last spring, and then made it two in a row with the thrilling come-from-behind win in their ODAC opener.

No. 13 UW-Stevens Point banged 15 hits to overcome six errors and defeat Rutgers-Camden 11-4. UW-Stevens Point scored four times in the first but Rutgers-Camden came back with four in the fifth to tie the game. However, the Pointers scored three in each of the sixth and seventh innings to pull away. Riley Spetz sparked the UWSP offense by going 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI.

Guilford posted eight first-inning runs and never looked back as the Quakers claimed an ODAC victory over Emory & Henry, 23-3. Herc Ingels led Guilford's bats, hitting 4-for-7 with a home run and three RBI, two of which came off the home run in the first inning on Ingels' second at-bat of the frame.
