A career-outing on the mound from junior Ben Bohlke led the Springfield Pride to its first win of the 2015 season, as the Pride defeated Hope, 9-3, on Thursday morning at Chain of Lakes Field. In his second-career start, Bohlke pitched 7.0 innings, holding Hope to just four hits and one run, while also recording a career-high six strikeouts, picking up the victory. Corey Wilcox came on in relief and closed out Hope in the final two innings, leading to the Pride's first win of the year.

It was not suppose to be this way. The Framingham State Rams nearly pulled out the upset of the week but UW-Whitewater came away with a 12-11 walkoff win to earn their first win of the season. The Warhaks erased an eight run deficit to open their season with a win.

Junior Andrew David pitched eight innings as Tufts stopped Lynchburg 6-3 in a non-conference contest. David allowed three runs on seven hits in eight innings of work. He had good control of the strike zone, striking out 10 Hornets without issuing a walk.

Third-inning home runs from Tyler Weary and Ryan Schamp pushed Elizabethtown to a 5-1 lead at Kevin Scott Boyd Stadium, and the Blue Jays went on to defeat former conference rival Lebanon Valley, 8-3. Weary and Schamp provided an unexpected power surge to a Blue Jay team that hit just four homers all of last season.

Four Presidents recorded multi-hit performances and the W&J offense erupted for eight runs in the top of the ninth inning in a 15-6 win over FDU-Florham. The big blast of the eight-run ninth inning came off the bat of Gannon Rooney who launched a grand slam to left field for his first career home run. Rooney led all players with four RBI and four runs scored in going 2-for-5 with a walk.

Coley Barker's RBI single through the left side drove home the winning run with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning as UMass Boston defeated nationally third-ranked Cortland, 4-3, to hand the Red Dragons their first loss this season. The Beacons started the day off with a 9-5 win over Farmingdale State.

Six solid innings on the mound by junior righty Davarn Nova and a five-run top of the eighth inning helped Endicott secure their second win of the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational with an 8-5 victory over UMass Dartmouth.

No. 17 Misericordia won its fifth straight game with a 3-1 victory at Wesley. Chris Vogeli scattered five hits over six innings to improve to 3-0 while Jim Tunison combined with two other relievers for three shutout innings to earn the save. Chris Boroch paced the MU offense with two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Hamilton added two more wins in 2015 with a doubleheader sweep of Alfred State 8-2, 9-1. Hamilton had 21 hits in the sweep, with Joe Jensen and brothers Chris and Kenny Collins collecting five each. Jensen scored five runs; he and Kenny Collins both stole three bases. Chris Collins drove in four runs. Spencer Vogelbach and Andrew Haser both earned their first collegiate wins as the Continentals held the Pioneers to 12 hits and three earned runs in the two games.

The 16th ranked Frostburg State Bobcats snapped its two-game skid with a 9-2 victory over Washington College. Jake Stephens earned his first win of the season on the mound for Frostburg after 6.0 innings, giving up just two runs on four hits and striking out five. The Bobcat pitchers struck out 12 Shoreman on the day.
