No. 3 UW-Whitewater swept aside No. 4 St. Thomas on Wednesday in a 16-5 game one win and followed it up with a 3-1 final in the nightcap. The Warhawks exploded for 5 runs in the fifth inning of the opener and added eleven runs in the sixth. The 11 run outburst included five RBI for Nick Kuhlman on a single and home run. In game two, Colin Grove pitched a complete game, holding the Tommies to four hits for the sweep.

No. 9 Rhodes swept Chicago in a two game series and became the first team to hit the 20 wins plateau in Division III. The Lynx boast a record of 20-5 on the year. In the first game, the Lynx took the contest in a 15-6 decision and took down the Maroons 2-0 in the nightcap.

Hendrix bounced back from a loss to Piedmont on Tuesday with a convincing 10-5 win over LaGrange in Georgia. Wtatt Hogan went 3-for-5 on the night, while Ryan Ritz, Thomas Weber, and Brady Newville each recorded a pair of hits.

Lynchburg scored the first four runs of the game but once Averett scored six in the third, the Hornets could not stop the Cougars in a 17-9 win for Averett. The two teams combined for 36 hits and seven errors on the day.

Washington and Lee had four pitchers combine to throw a one-hitter, and the offense totaled 13 runs on 17 hits en route to a 13-0 victory over Bridgewater at Cap'n Dick Smith Field. W&L held the Eagles without a hit through 8.2 innings, but senior center fielder Darren Yoder singled to center fielder on a full count with two outs in the top of the ninth inning to break up the combined no hitter. Senior Drew Shott earned the victory for the Generals to improve to 2-1. He threw 4.0 innings of relief, striking out one batter.

Oglethorpe scored eight runs over the middle innings against former SCAC foe DePauw, turning a close game into a relatively comfortable 10-4 victory. Andre Turnquest and Patrick Kulick hit home runs in the victory.

Javier Morales went 3-for-6 with three doubles and two runs batted in the Vikings 11-1 rout of the Rams of Suffolk. Salem State's starting pitcher Tim Woods recorded three strikeouts and allowed five hits in his seven innings of work.

Freshman Anthony Hoagland went 5-for-5 with 10 RBIs to lead William Paterson past Stevens 16-1.  The Pioneers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back. Hoagland finished the contest with four extra base hits, two doubles and two home runs.

Senior third baseman Ryan Hanahan tied a pair of school records in Marietta's 19-1 non-conference victory over Denison. Hanahan was a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate equaling the school record for hits in a game. He also tied the mark for doubles in a game with three. Pioneer leadoff hitter Tim McCoy set the tone for the day as he deposited the second pitch of the game over the right field fence for a solo home run. It was his second home run of the season.

Wesley routed Penn State Harrisburg, 10-1, in a CAC matchup at Bob Reed Field. Eric Willey threw a complete game for the Wolverines to earn his first win of the season.  Willey allowed just one run on ten hits while striking out three on the day. Willey got a lot of help from his offense which put up 14 hits, with three each coming off the bats of Tyler Hunter and Matt Domian in their five at bats.  Trevor Mears and Conner Gobright also collected multi-hit games while Mike Calvarese drove in a pair of runs.  Gobright also walked twice on the day.

Junior Matt Moser rapped out three hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead Tufts to a 9-0 non-league victory over Mass-Maritime on the turf at the New England Baseball Complex. Tommy O’Hara and James Howard added two hits each as part of an 11-hit attack in the triumph for Tufts, which earned its fifth straight victory.

Oberlin, down three runs in their final turn to bat, scored four to surprise streaking Carthage College 7-6 at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Ariz. A bases-loaded walk in the ninth gave the Yeomen the first run. Pinch-hitter Mike Masella then hit a two-out two-run single to tie the game and Blaise Dolcemaschio followed with an another RBI-single to give Oberlin the come-from-behind win.

Concordia (Wisc.) posted its highest scoring effort since the 2010 season in a 19-1 rout of Northland at Kapco Park. Nathan Thyssen continued his strong start to his collegiate career as he paced the Falcons with six RBI in the win. Thyssen went 2-for-3 and had a bases-clearing double in an eight-run third inning. Justin Barney added four RBI and also had a bases-clearing double in the third.

Moravian held Scranton to six hits in a 6-2 decision in the final game of a three-game Landmark Conference series at Gillespie Field. Freshman pitcher Nicholas Mazzella scattered four hits and struck out two over seven innings in picking up the win for Moravian.

John Carroll topped Hiram 10-6 in its home opener. The win pushed the Blue Streaks' record to a program-best 12-3. Additionally, the JCU diamond men won their 10th straight game tying the program record.  Working on "staff day", junior Aaron Lapaglia was lights out in his four innings of work. The right-hander allowed two hits while striking out nine. Sophomore Mark Materise picked up his second save of the year.

A seven-run sixth inning and runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth helped Mount Union to an 11-9 win at Thiel at Tomcat Park in Greenville, Pa. Justin Jakubik and James Weber led Mount Union with three hit apiece. The win halted a three-game losing streak for the Purple Raiders.

Junior Chris Amato tossed six innings of shutout relief as the Kean edged Keystone College by the final of 3-2 on a cold, rainy afternoon of non-conference action. Amato allowed four hits with two walks and three strikeouts to earn his first win of the year.

Bethany held a two-run lead late in their contest with Washington & Jefferson, but an eighth-inning Presidents’ rally off of the Bison bullpen gave the Presidents a 7-4 Presidents' Athletic Conference win on Wednesday.

Union concluded play in the 2015 RussMatt Invitational winning their third straight contest, defeating the Kalamazoo Hornets 8-4. Kent Curran had three RBIs while Eric Egan went 3-for-3 at the dish, driving in a pair to lead the Dutchmen offense. Eric Beer gave up three runs on five hits in five innings of work to pick up his first career win.

Rose-Hulman scored multiple runs in three innings and relied on a strong pitching performance from freshman Joey Callahan to top Franklin 7-1 in HCAC action at Art Nehf Field. Callahan scattered just three hits over 6.1 innings of work with three stikeouts to improve to 2-2 on the season and help the Fightin' Engineers move to 3-1 in league play.

Drew rode both dominant pitching and a frequent offensive output to an 8-6 Opening Day triumph over Ramapo at Doc Young Field. Sophomore DH Mike Miraglia went 3-for-4 with both a double and an RBI out of the 6-hole in the lineup. Bobby Miskura also contributed a 3-hit game for the Rangers.

Berry was 1-1 on Wednesday against ranked opponents. Early in the day a suspended game with No. 5 Birmingham Southern was entered into the books as a tie. Later the Vikings defeated No. 19 Emory 9-2 at State Mutual Stadium, home of the Rome Braves. Berry's offense was led by Ryan Smith and Alfred Francis. They both were 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs. The Vikings used nine pitchers throughout the game, rotating every inning. Austin Loper pitched in the fourth and got his first win of the season.
