In a pivotal OAC doubleheader, Heidelberg gave John Carroll a rude welcoming to the top 25. The 8th-ranked Student Princes dominated the day against the 24th-ranked Blue Streaks on the road, shutting them out 6-0 in game one before erupting for a 17-2 win in game two. Pitching was the story for the Berg in both, as they did not allow an earned run in the sweep. Derek Hendrixson threw a complete game shutout in the opener while Sam Ankrom turned in a solid start in game two. The wins moved Heidelberg (21-5, 9-3 OAC) into sole possession of first place in the OAC.
Emory senior Wes Peacock hit his first two home runs of the season, and sophomore Jackson Weeg pitched eight shutout innings, as the Eagles cruised to a 10-0 win over Covenant in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. The win was the seventh in the last eight games for the Eagles, and the team's 10th in its last 12 contest.
The offense scored five runs through the first three innings and Louis Marotta threw 3.2 innings of scoreless relief and improved to 7-0 as Alvernia defeated Rutgers-Newark by a 6-0 final in non-conference action at Riverfront Stadium.
Junior Seth Lamando and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as nationally top-ranked Cortland defeated host Fredonia, 12-0, to complete a three-game sweep of the Blue Devils. The Red Dragons won on the day that they moved from second to first in the D3baseball.com national poll. Cortland has won 10 of its 11 games since returning from Florida. The Red Dragons have played only one of their first 26 games on their home field.
After the start of the game was pushed back over 30 minutes due to a high school game going extras, a 20-minute power outage during the sixth inning, and 16 runs on 24 hits, Union finally came away with the 9-7 victory over New Paltz shortly before midnight on Tuesday night at Cantine Park in Saugerties, New York.
A seventh inning double to left by sophomore outfielder Scott Betts helped deliver a 2-1 win for Saint Joseph's (Maine) over Endicott at North Field. The Gulls got six solid innings from junior righty JJ Branch before back-to-back doubles by Monks sophomore designated hitter Dan Donovan and Betts to start the top of the seventh generated the go-ahead run.

St. Scholastica completed the season sweep of Northland, taking both games of a doubleheader at LumberJack Field. The Saints scored five runs in the top of the sixth in the opener to overtake the LumberJacks and controlled the rest of the way to win 11-4. The Saints trailed 3-0 after five innings in game two, but scored six runs between the sixth and seventh innings to overcome the LumberJacks.
William Paterson crossed the plate five times during the top of the ninth inning to rally for an 8-4 victory at St. Joseph's-Long Island. Jimmy Kenny finished 4-for-5 with an RBI and run scored, while AJ Flores went 2-for-4, hit a double and drove in two runs while scoring once.
Sophomore pinch-hitter Neal Dowling hit a walk off single in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the 18th-ranked Baldwin Wallace an OAC doublheader split with No. 23-ranked Ohio Northern at Heritage Field. Ohio Northern scored five runs in the eighth inning to earn a 10-8 win in the first game. Baldwin Wallace scored the games final runs in the seventh and 12th innings to secure the 4-3 extra inning affair win.
Marietta pitchers limited Capital to just eight hits as the Etta Express swept an OAC doubleheader. Marietta posted wins of 9-0 and 7-3. The Pioneers, winners of five straight, are 8-4 in the OAC and sit in a three-way tie for second in the OAC standings with Ohio Northern and John Carroll.
Jason Szurlej tossed a complete-game two-hit shutout on an economical 96 pitches and New Jersey City pounded out 15 hits in a 10-0 non-conference blanking of FDU-Florham at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex. Szurlej scattered just two singles, with only one hit in the first eight frames. He struck out two and walked a pair. Eric Giordano doubled twice and extended his consecutive games on-base streak to 37, going 2-for-3 with three runs, a walk and RBI.
Thiel earned a Presidents' Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep over the 25th-ranked Thomas More Saints. It took extra innings, but the Tomcats pushed three runs across the plate in the ninth frame of the first game to earn a 3-0 win. The Tomcats won the second game 3-1 behind a complete game from Kevin Forrester.
Washington & Jefferson used a pair of seventh-inning rallies to sweep a doubleheader at Grove City, 5-4 in the opener and 5-0 in the nightcap. With the sweep, the Presidents improve to 10-4 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. W&J currently sits a game behind Waynesburg and this weekend's opponent, Thomas More, for first place in the league as both schools hold 11-3 marks in league action.
Carthage won a non-conference game from Rockford, 13-6, at Augie Schmidt Field in Kenosha, Wis. Brandon Hrdlicka was the winning pitcher and blanked the Regents to four hits and three walks over seven innings, while striking out six.

Hendrix split a pair of mid-week games with in-state rival Williams Baptist, falling 7-6 in game one before coming back with an 8-5 victory in game two. Ryan Ritz went 3-for-4 on the day with three runs, a triple and a stolen base. Brady Newville batted 4-for-5 with three runs and an RBI while Thomas Weber mashed three hits with a run and an RBI.
MIT scored four times in the first inning and then held off WPI down the stretch to take 7-5 NEWMAC victory this afternoon. Senior Hayden Cornwell drove in three runs for the Engineers while junior Alex Venditti drove in a pair for WPI.
Oglethorpe found themselves behind 5-0 in the early-going at Anderson Field against the visiting Piedmont Lions, but they never blinked. They immediately scored six consecutive runs to take the lead and eventually won the game on a ninth-inning walkoff double by sophomore third baseman Austin Ferlita, scoring senior designated hitter Patrick Kulick from first with two outs and giving the Stormy Petrels a 7-6 win at a rainy Anderson Field.
Franklin scored two runs in the ninth inning to pick up an 8-6 road HCAC victory over Rose-Hulman. Senior Dylan Reyher hit a sacrifice fly that allowed sophomore Jacob Troxell to give the visitors the ninth-inning lead. A throwing error later in the frame allowed an insurance run to be added to the winning margin.
On a picture perfect afternoon, The Bethel Royals used a pair of fence clearing bombs and solid pitching to defeat the Northwestern Eagles, 5-0. The Royals defended their home field Hargis Park successfully, as Sean Glenn started on the mound for Bethel. Glenn went five innings allowing two hits and striking out three, without allowing a run or a walk. Carson Selin, Noah Callister and Kelvin Minning also saw action for the Royals and aided in the shutout.
Keystone escaped with an 11-9 victory over Moravian in a wild, non-conference game that lasted nearly three and a half hours at Christy Mathewson Field. The Giants used a three-run seventh inning to rally for the win as the teams combined for 27 hits and eight errors.
Junior shortstop Sam Dexter went 3 for 4 with three RBI to lead Southern Maine to a 6-1 victory over visiting UMass-Boston in Little East Conference action at the USM Baseball Stadium. The win was the seventh straight for the 20th-ranked Huskies who were playing their home opener after 21 games on the road.
Senior Jared Kuzio fired his first collegiate shutout in a 1-0 victory and senior Jeff Bolio went 3-for-3 with a homer and a trio of RBI in an 8-2 triumph to help pace Worcester State to a sweep over Fitchburg State in MASCAC action at Elliot Field. In the opener, the Lancers helped head coach Dr. Dirk Baker earn his 450th career victory.

Despite jumping out to an early 5-0 lead, North Central (Ill.) hung on to defeat Wabash, 7-6 in 11 innings under the lights at the U.S. Steel Yard. Bobby Smith finished 3-for-4 from the dish with four RBI.
Sophomore Benjamin Harrow went 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored to help Nichols earn a split with Becker in non-conference baseball action. The Bison rebounded from a 5-1 loss in the opener to take game two, 14-2.
Manchester and Anderson each finished with 12 hits and matched each other runs-wise throughout a nine-inning thriller at Don Brandon Field. With the visiting Spartans on the verge of a key league road victory, the host Ravens pushed aside those chances with a three-run ninth inning comeback for a 7-6 decision. Four hits and a fielder’s choice sparked the last at-bat rally.
Penn State Behrend swept a doubleheader in conference play against Hilbert. The Lions offense was clicking on all cylinders throughout the day taking game one by a score of 6-3 and then winning game two, 17-4. David Boehme led the Behrend offense in game one going 2-for-3 from the plate with two RBI's and two runs scored. In the nightcap Boehme earned his second win of the season in his first career start giving up one run in three innings pitched.
Freshman Logan Sullo rapped out three hits as Mass-Maritime took advantage of four errors to post a 6-2 victory over Bridgewater State in the opener of a MASCAC doubleheader played at Commodore Hendy Field. Senior Adam Mullen a complete-game one-hit shutout and struck out five in the nightcap to give the visiting Bears a 2-0 triumph and gain a split of the twinbill.
