Down to their final out and trailing by two runs, the Concordia-Chicago Cougars rallied for three runs and edged the Aurora Spartans 5-4 in the first game of the 2015 NACC tournament at Kapco Park in Mequon, WI.
Clarkson pounded out 17 hits, including two home runs, to power past Rochester 17-1 in the opener of the 2015 Liberty League Baseball Tournament at RPI's Robison Field. in the late game RPI lost to Rochester Institute 10-8
Rose-Hulman battled back from an 8-0 deficit to win a 16-15 slugfest over Manchester in the opening game of the HCAC Tournament played at Anderson. The host Ravens defeated the Quakers 10-0 in the second contest of the day.
Keystone opened their quest for a seventh-straight CSAC championship with a 10-1 victory over Neumann in a first round playoff game at Christy Mathewson Field. The Giants will play fourth-seeded Immaculata in a winners' bracket game at Marywood. The Mighty Macs defeated Marywood 4-3.
Carthage opened play at the CCIW Tournament with a 3-2 win in 10 innings over top-seeded North Central (Ill.) at Zimmerman Stadium/Alumni Field in Naperville, Ill. Illinois Wesleyan defeated Wheaton (Ill.), 7-1, in the other first-round contest. Carthage pitchers held with the bases loaded in the seventh and ninth innings, giving the Red Men offense a chance. A misplayed ball in the tenth allowed the winning run to score for Carthage's win. Illinois Wesleyan senior right-hander Matt Hart scattered seven hits in 8.1 innings to help the Titans to a 7-1 win over Wheaton (ill.) in the second and final game of the day.
Second-ranked Frostburg State rolled to an 11-3 win over Stevenson to improve to 37-5 on the year, tying for the second-most wins in a season by a CAC school. Salisbury won 37 games in 2014 and 38 in 2009.
A four-run third inning broke things open for the Kohawks, as they handed Central a 7-2 loss in the Iowa Conference Tournament. Central defeated Loras 9-1 earlier in the day.
Webster advanced in the winner's bracket of the SLIAC Tournament, with a 7-3 win over Spalding in Greenville, Ill. Webster, the #1 seed in the West Division, will face host Greenville, the #1 seed in the East Division. Greenville advanced with a 10-7 win over Westminster (Mo.).
Canton opened the Empire 8 tournament with an 11-4 win over Elmira but fell in game three to Ithaca 19-9. The Utica College baseball team lost to third-seeded St. John Fisher College 6-1 on day one at the inaugural Empire 8 Conference Baseball Tournament at Murnane Field on Thursday. Fisher used a five run eighth inning to break a 1-1 tie as the Cardinals improved to 24-17 overall on the year.
The Cougars' six, seven and eight batters combined for seven hits and for five runs scored to help Kean push past Widener in the last regular season contest of the season by the final of 7-3. Senior Tom McGuckin was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a triple while junior Ryan Reitmeyer was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. With the win Kean finishes enters the NCAA tournament with a 34-10 overall record, their 11th straight season with 30 or more wins.

Texas-Dallas avoided elimination with a 13-5 win over Hardin-Simons. Howard Payne did the same as they survived a Mary Hardin-Baylor rally in a 7-5 win, eliminating the Cru. Michael Evan and Caleb Rodriguez each hit home runs, and the second-seeded Concordia (Texas) rolled to 10-2 victory over No. 6 seed East Texas Baptist. The final game of the day in the ASC tournament saw Texas-Tyler defeat LeTourneau 7-3.
Junior left-hander Tyler Leavitt pitched seven strong innings as top-seeded Southern Maine Huskies defeated third-seeded Rhode Island College 6-2 in game five of the six-team, double-elimination Little East Championship Tournament being played at the USM Baseball Stadium. Leavitt picked up his fifth win of the season after allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk. He struck out six. Senior reliever Andrew Richards pitched two hitless innings to earn his ninth save of the season.
MIT closed out its 2015 regular season on an up note, wrapping things up with an 8-1 win against St. Joseph's (Maine). Senior Hayden Cornwell went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI, while freshman Zach Michaud had a strong start on the mound for the Engineers, allowing just one run over five innings of work.
Oberlin is headed to its first-ever NCAC Championship after defeating the 11th ranked Scots of Wooster, 11-6, at VA Memorial Stadium. The Yeomen roughed up Scots pitching to the tune of 15 hits. Oberlin opened the day with a 7-6 win over the Allegheny Gators. Wooster defeated Ohio Wesleyan 12-3 in game two of the NCAC tournament. in the final game of the day Ohio Wesleyan eliminated Allegheny 10-4.
Marietta used a four-run seventh inning rally to come from behind and defeat No. 7 ranked Baldwin Wallace 7-5 in the first round of the OAC Tournament. The Pioneers advance into the winner's bracket and will face top-seeded and No. 9 ranked Heidelberg. The Student Princes downed John Carroll 8-1 to open the tournament.
Thiel suffered a 7-4 defeat to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in the opening game of the 2015 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.
The two top seeds in the CUNYAC tournament prevailed by wide margins on Thursday. Staten Island defeated CCNY 10-1 while Baruch was a 14-5 winner over Lehman.
