ANDERSON, IN - Anderson University has announced the hiring of Dustin Glant to be the new head baseball coach at Anderson University. Glant brings 12 years of playing and coaching experience to Anderson, including 6 years as a pitcher in the Arizona Diamondbacks minor league farm system. Glant replaces David Pressley who resigned in July to serve through a baseball and teaching role with Madison Academy High School in northern Alabama.
"Coach Glant brings proven experience as a player and as a coach who develops his athletes into the best baseball players they can be,” said Dr. Brent Baker, vice-president for Student Affairs. “I look forward to his leadership of our baseball program and our continued success on and off the field.”
Most recently, Glant served as the head baseball coach at Lapel High School. Prior to taking over the program at Lapel, Glant served as assistant baseball coach at Ball State University, head baseball coach at Mount Vernon High School, and a pitching coach at Marathon High School in Florida. Following his time with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Glant continued his playing career with the Winnipeg Goldeyes (Canadian League), the Schaumburg Flyers (the Northern League), the Medellin Potros (the Colombian Winter League) and the Mayos de Navajoa (Mexican Pacific League).
