With Elizabethtown's season on the line and no margin for error, senior pitcher Nick Gulla turned in the best game of his career. Gulla tossed a complete game 3-hit shutout to eliminate Moravian, 3-0, Monday afternoon and send the Blue Jays to their first Landmark Championship series.
Gulla, a Lansdale, Pa., native has grinded through the good and bad baseball can offer up over the course of a season and a career. When Moravian salvaged a 12-9 win in game two Sunday, the veteran knew the ball would be his in Monday's win-or-go home game three.

Kyle Fackler was 2-for-3 and Andrew Coleman 2-for-4, as the Jays scattered their seven hits among five players. Masciarelli scored twice and Smith went 1-for-4 with a run scored. Fackler now has 63 hits on the season, seven away from tying Andy Barrick's single-season record of 70.
Elizabethtown, which will play for its first conference title since finishing as Commonwealth Conference runners-up in 2011, has won 11 league crowns in its 83-year history, with the most recent one coming in 2009.

Second-seeded Endicott team moved into the championship round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament on Monday evening with a 9-2 win over first-seeded Western New England University at Trelease Park.
JJ Branch picked up today's victory (7-1) with a complete-game effort on the bump for the Gulls. In his 12th start of the season, Branch yielded eight hits, two runs (both earned), and three walks to go along with eight strikeouts on 134 pitches (86 strikes). Branch's stellar playoff performance also moved him into sole possession of first place on the all-time wins list (25) as the senior right-hander surpassed Mike Nich atop the leaderboard.
Endicott now sits in the driver's seat in the tournament as the Gulls will only need one victory to capture their seventh CCC title in program history. The Golden Bears, however, will take on fourth-seeded Salve Regina in an elimination game at Trelease Park. If WNEU wins its matchup versus the Seahawks tomorrow Endicott will travel to Springfield, Mass. to play in the CCC championship round on Wednesday. Conversely, if Salve Regina comes away with a victory tomorrow, Endicott will host the CCC championship round at North Field. Game one for either championship round option is scheduled for 12 PM.

Steve Marowski hit a sixth-inning grand slam and Andrew Fabry pitched four shutout innings as Albion closed the season with a 8-5 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Hope.
The teams met at Hope's Boeve Stadium to complete the April 30 game that was suspended in the third inning with Hope leading 5-4.
Joe Turnbull and Shane Lindemann hit one out singles in the sixth and Ronnie Williams III reached on a single deep in the hole at shortstop with two out to set the table for Marowski who was inserted as a pinch hitter for Mitch Lasceski. Marowski finished the season with 41 runs batted in, tying him with Brad Brown (1994 & 1995) for second-most in a season at Albion, and one shy of Michael Fischbach's mark set last season.

Senior shortstop Mike Roman tallied his 200th career hit today as the St. John Fisher College baseball team closed out the regular season with a 20-13 road win over Rochester Institute of Technology this afternoon at Tiger Stadium.
Roman went 4-for-6 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a double. He tallied his 200th hit on his third hit of the game in the fifth inning. First baseman Scott Eisenmenger finished the game going 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBIs, two runs scored and a walk
With the victory, the Cardinals tied the program record for the fourth time with 31 wins in a season under head coach Brandon Potter.
