Elms defeated Nichols 5-1, in Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament at the Nichols Baseball Field. The Blazers were paced by junior outfielder Aedin Wadja who reached base in all five trips to the plate – 4-for-4 and hit by a pitch once – and scored a run. Seven different student-athletes collected hits for Elms including freshman Alex Hoss and juniors Stephen Harrison, Tim Gelzinis, and Brian Hungerford who each had a pair of hits.

A pair of one run games came out in favor of the bottom seeded teams. Kalamazoo defeated Adrian 2-1 and Hope defeated Alma 5-4. Alma built a 3-0 lead through the first six innings but was unable to hold the lead in the late innings. With the lead Doug Walters eighth inning home run made it 5-4 but Eric Plaehn came in and struck out six of the seven batters he faced for the save.
The string of upsets also played out in the Little East Tournament. Sixth-seeded Western Connecticut State started the day upending top-seeded host UMass-Boston, 4-3, at Monan Park. With the win, the Colonials will return to action against No. 5 seed Eastern Connecticut State on Thursday. The Warriors advanced with an upset of their own, sending Southern Maine to a 13-9 loss. Mass-Dartmouth was the only higher seed to win today. Senior Aaron Chouinard threw a gem leading the No. 3 seed Corsairs to a 2-1 victory over No. 4 seed Plymouth State. Chouinard went eight full innings, striking out 10 while allowing just six hits, one walk and no earned runs. He out-dueled Panther starter Cody Gilchrist, who permitted one earned run on five Corsair hits, fanning five in five innings.
In its final road game of the season, Chicago lost a narrow 6-5 decision to Chicago State. The nine-inning game ended in a crisp two hours and 17 minutes as both teams played errorless ball. Chicago posted eight hits by seven different batters. Freshman outfielder Connor Hickey paced the effort by going 2-for-4.
Millikin completed its season dropping a 4-1 contest to NCAA Division I opponent Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Illinois. The game was called after seven innings due to weather in the area. Millikin pitchers held the Panthers to only five hits, but Eastern Illinois used a walk, hit by and pitch and four hits to score all four of its runs in the second inning.
