ASTON, Pa. – Neumann University's Director of Athletics and Recreation Chuck Sack has announced the hiring of Dan DiBartolomeo as the Head Baseball Coach. DiBartolomeo replaces John Fleming who was 21-20 in 2016.

"We are excited to introduce Dan DiBartolomeo as our new head baseball coach," says Sack. "Dan's leadership style along with his ability to connect to the Neumann University values complement his baseball knowledge very well. This combination of these attributes made his selection very easy for us."

DiBartolomeo has been an assistant coach at Neumann for the past two seasons, where he oversaw much of the recruiting process as well as working with the infielders, base runners and hitting. Prior to coming to Neumann he served as an assistant coach at Stockton College in 2012.

"I am truly honored and humbled to be named the head coach of the Neumann University baseball team. I would like to thank the Athletic Department, as a whole, for this tremendous opportunity," says DiBartolomeo.

DiBartolomeo was a three-year starter for West Virginia University. He set the Mountaineers' single season record for hitting, batting .439 in 2009. The mark ranked DiBartolomeo fourth in the NCAA in batting that season and was ranked the No. 1 third basemen in the country by Rivals.com. He was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region First Team and All Big East for his efforts. DiBartolomeo registered a .356 career batting average at WVU and was a two time pre-season all Big East selection. He graduated from West Virginia in 2013 with his bachelor's degree in Sociology.

DiBartolomeo officially begins his role on July 1, 2016.
