Drew Brantley and Mark Calder will serve as interim co-head coaches for the Anderson University baseball team during the 2017 season.

Brantley is in his third season with the AU program, as a coach. A former Ravens' player, Brantley spent one season as a student assistant under coach David Pressley and was a graduate assistant last season under Dustin Glant.

As a player, Brantley was selected to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament team in 2012.

Calder, who spent the 2016 season as the Director of Baseball Operations, has 20 years of coaching experience. Along with his one season at AU, he has been an assistant coach at Mount Vernon and Lapel high schools. Calder has additional coaching experience with summer travel team organizations.

Glant resigned last weekend to take a position as pitching coach at Ball State University.

"Coach Brantley and coach Calder provide the stability the program needs at this time," said AU Athletic Director Marcie Taylor. "The players have developed solid relationships with these two men and they have a high level of trust in their leadership. This team has great potential and can be very competitive in the HCAC this spring."
