Ursinus finished its Florida trip with a flourish, sweeping Muskingum by scores of 6-3 and 8-0 to bring an 8-2 record back home to snowy Collegeville. Senior Alex Campbell finished the day 4-for-7 with a home run his second in as many days and four RBI for the Bears, and classmate Austin Kurey was a combined 4-for-7 and drove in three runs. Seniors Seth Regensburg and Pierce Greenleaf each threw complete games on the mound, with Greenleaf spinning his first career shutout in the nightcap as Ursinus ran its winning streak to five.

Suffolk opened up its 70th season in winning fashion as Luke Ronchi had a career day to lead the Rams past No. 9 St. John Fisher, 11-3, at Lake Myrtle Field in the RussMatt Invitational. Ronchi was nearly perfect at the plate, going 5-for-6 in his appearances with one double and one homer to finish the day slugging 1.500 for seven RBI.  He sniped two bags and scored one run himself.

Juniata ended its eight-game Florida trip with a doubleheader against King's (Pa.) on Friday morning. The Eagles dropped the first game 4-2 but came back to win the second game 6-2. King's rallied for four runs in the fifth innings capped by a three-run bomb from Chris Rebar to defeat Juniata but the Eagles responded with six unanswered runs after King's took a 2-0 lead for a split on the day.

Piedmont stunned the #1 ranked Eagles of Emory claiming a 7-5 victory at Loudermilk Field. The loss is just the second of the season for the top-ranked Eagles who stormed back in the contest and were in it until the final play. The turning point in the game came in the third inning, Piedmont poured on four runs to take a 6-0 lead, but the difference came whenBuddy Green entered in the eighth inning with two on and no outs and left the bases loaded without allowing a run to preserve a 7-5 lead.

Sophomore Steven Gallagher batted 6-for-9 on the day and graduate student Anthony Capuano launched a three-run homer for WPI in game two to key a non-conference split with Husson at the RussMatt Invitational. The Engineers rebounded from a 5-4 loss in the opener to take game two 12-3.

Mitch Shedlowsky threw his second career complete game and Justin Dennis drove in two runs as Albion defeated Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 5-1, in spring break action. The Engineers scored in the second, but Shedlowsky allowed only four hits from that point on. He also received help from the defense which turned a pair of double plays and catcher Jordyn Finney threw out a runner trying to steal in the seventh.

Trailing by as much as eight runs, UMass-Boston completed a huge late inning comeback as they scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning to earn a 10-9 win over DeSales at Lake Myrtle Park in the first game of their 2017 spring trip. Dan Mantoni kickstarted the rally with a  two-run double, giving way to Nick Herzog's two-out two-run single. Eddie Riley walked with the bases loaded to give the Beacons their first and only lead of the day.

Saint John's (Minn.) ended its spring-break trip with a 10-3 win over Thiel in Fort Myers, Fla. The Johnnies cracked 17 hits and rode the arm of senior Alex Kendall, who allowed three unearned runs on five hits in seven innings. He struck out seven.

Keystone’s opened its spring break trip with a pair of wins at the Snowbird Classic in Florida. The Giants defeated the John Carroll 11-9 in the opener before edging Rhodes College 3-2 in the nightcap.  Sebastian De La Cruz went 4-5 with five RBI to power Keystone in the game one win.

Penn State Behrend picked up their first sweep of the season, stealing two wins from Elizabethtown, 7-5 and 5-3. With the pair of wins, the Lions move above .500 and extend their winning streak to six in a row. Behrend will finish their spring training trip tomorrow in a single game against Drew.

The Wheaton (Ill.) bats came alive in a big way, powering the Thunder to a doubleheader sweep over Moravian, 4-2, and Bluffton, 19-1. Wheaton plated four runs on eight hits with two errors in the lidlifter against Moravian. The Thunder scored 19 runs on 21 hits with two errors in the nightcap against Bluffton, marking the most runs Wheaton has scored in a game since a 20-1 victory at Millikin on April 16, 2011. Wheaton's 21 hits is the highest single game total since the Thunder also tallied 21 hits in a 15-4 victory at Elmhurst on April 1, 2014.

Whittier took game one of a three games set from the Chapman Panthers 7-5. Whittier's Justin Ushio went seven innings on the mound to lead the Poets. He struck out three and earned his second win of the season. Dmitri Washington led the poets with a 2-for-3 day with a run scored and two RBIs.

Centenary (La.) tallied their 11th double-digit run scoring game of the season, while junior Kaleb Kirk struck out 13 as the Gents began its conference season with a bang with a 12-0 win in seven innings at Austin. Kirk went 6.2 innings to strike out 13, the most punchouts in a game in the SCAC since former Gent Taylor Henry struck out 14 in an 8-1 win against Schreiner March 22, 2015. Kirk allowed only three walks and two hits in the game.

Stephen Sexton had a night to remember at Billy Allgood Field on the campus of Louisiana College, sending three baseballs over the wall for the Blazers' first three-home run game in over eight years, as the Green and Gold defeated the Louisiana College Wildcats, 11-3, Friday night in the opening game of the Marler Ford Classic.  In the other Classic game, Louisiana College clipped the Eureka Red Devils, 2-1.

Baruch split a doubleheader, 4-2, 3-9, against the Fords of Haverford at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. Cameron Kitt pitched a complete game two-hitter (7IP, 2R, 1ER, 8K) to win the 4-2 opener, while Edwin St. Hilaire batted 2-for-3 with a two run homer in the third inning that stood as the winning hit. In the second game, the Bearcats started the scoring again in their first at-bat but the Fords exploded for four runs in their bottom of the first and added three more in the third to get to the winning margin.

Dominican swept a doubleheader from the Rivier Raiders behind a pair of dominant pitching performances from Colin Janison and Tyler Brown while the bats pounded out 29 hits and scored 15 runs. With the sweep, the Stars move to 4-6 on the season and 4-3 on the team's trip to Fort Myers, Florida, for the 2017 Gene Cusic Classic. Dominican closes out the trip tomorrow with a game against Illinois College.

No. 5 ranked UW-Whitewater posted a 1-1 record in a pair of one-run games against Concordia-Moorhead in non-conference play at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Warhawks fell 2-1 in the opener before taking game two by a 3-2 score.

Wentworth Tech ran its win streak to three games with a doubleheader sweep over SUNY Poly. The Leopards pounded out 16 runs on 21 hits to win, 16-0, in the opener and completed the sweep with a complete-game shutout from senior Aaron Denis in a 3-0 win in the nightcap.

Joe Pradat's bunt single in the bottom of the ninth lifted No. 10 LaGrange to a 3-2 win over Huntingdon at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium. Cain Sauls started the ninth inning rally with a one-out walk off Zach McGrady. Blane Swift followed with a double to the base of the left field fence as Sauls stopped at third. Chad Pigg was walked intentionally to load the bases. Pradat dropped a bunt down in front of home plate as Sauls dashed home standing up for the winning run.
