The William Paterson swept visiting New Jersey City in a doubleheader on Saturday extending the Pioneers' NJAC winning streak to four games. The Pioneers held NJCU scoreless for the final four frames and scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure a 6-5 win in game one of the twin bill. Sophomore right hander Corey Martinez pitched seven innings of three-run ball, as Eriq Colon provided the eventual game-winning two-run home run and Frank Colasante closed out his second save of the afternoon as WP topped NJCU, 6-3, in the second half of the double dip.
Bates continued their winning ways, sweeping Bowdoin in a doubleheader behind outstanding pitching and timely hitting at Coombs Field. Game one of the twin bill, scheduled for seven innings, went nine, and Bates prevailed 4-3. In game two, the Bobcats took down the Polar Bears by a score of 6-3. Halfway through NESCAC play, the Bobcats sit atop the East Division standings. Bates has won six consecutive games, their longest winning streak since 2012. It's the first time ever - since the NESCAC formally became a playing conference in 1999 - that Bates has swept Colby and Bowdoin in a three-game series in the same season.
Senior Daniel Avery tossed a complete-game seven-hitter and struck out 10 as Mass-Maritime gained a split of a MASCAC doubleheader with Fitchburg State by posting a 7-2 nightcap triumph at Commodore Hendy Field. The Falcons used a six-hit, five strikeout performance over 6 2/3 innings from senior Tyler Smith to notch a 7-3 victory in the opening contest.
Occidental beat Pacific in a home doubleheader, winning its weekend series with the Boxers 2-1. Occidentalxy got outstanding pitching performances from Nolan McCarthy, Josh Cohen, Riley James and Nolan Watson. Tiger's starter Nolan McCarthy went six innings with five strikeouts and no earned runs. Riley James pitched three scoreless innings in relief, earning the save. Game two starter Josh Cohen followed McCarthy's lead from Game 1, pitching a gem. He struck out seven batters in seven innings, giving up just one earned run. Nolan Watson came on to finish it off with four strikeouts in a perfect two-inning save.
Eric Drzewiecki drove in five runs to power Keystone to a 10-5 victory over Gwynedd Mercy in the first game of the three-game regular season series between the Giants and Griffins. Troy Terzi improved to 4-0 on the year, picking up the win with eight strikeouts while allowing five runs on 12 hits. Tyler Widitz pitched the final two innings, allowing just two hits while fanning a pair of batters.
A walk-off single from freshman Dylan Ketch in game one and an offensive explosion, 13 runs including a grand slam from junior catcher Christian Vargas in game two helped Salve Regina earn a sweep over Endicott in Commonwealth Coast Conference. This was the 53rd and 54th meetings between the teams. The Seahawks have now won four in a row over the Gulls and have evened the all-time series at 27-27.
WPI exploded at the plate, getting home runs from Matt Howard and Steven Gallagher at the New England Baseball Complex as the Engineers salvaged the final game of a weekend series against Clark with a 15-5 victory. WPI matched its second-highest scoring output of the season. Howard (2 for 5, 5 RBIs) set the tone with a first-inning grand slam as five hitters had multi-hit games, led by a 4-for-5 day by sophomore Ryan Tropeano. Clark won the opener 3-0, setting a new school standard for victories in season.

Willamette rallied from a 3-0 deficit after three innings to take a 5-3 lead in the top of the sixth inning on their way to a 7-4 victory over Puget Sound in the second game of a NWC doubleheader. The win, combined with other conference results on Saturday, allowed the Bearcats to clinch their first ever NWC Tournament berth. Puget Sound won the first game, 3-2. Willamette not only clinched an NWC Tournament berth, but clinched no worse than the #3 seed in the four-team tournament which will follow the regular season.
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Cru put together late rallies in both games and salvaged a doubleheader split with Howard Payne in Belton. UMHB won game two 6-3 after falling 5-4 in eight innings in game one. UMHB rallied to send game one to extra innings, but a throwing error proved costly in a 5-4 loss in eight innings. UMHB scored three runs in its final two at-bats to claim a 6-3 game two victory.

UMass-Dartmouth totaled four home runs on the day, including two from junior Josh O'Neill, collecting its first Little East Conference sweep of the season with 5-3 and 8-7 victories over visiting Keene State. Starter Sean Callahan shut down the Keene State bats in the opener, going six shutout innings and just allowing five base hits. O'Neill belted his first collegiate home run in the bottom of the fifth inning, breaking up the pitcher's duel. The nightcap made up for what the opener lacked in offense, with both teams combining for 12 of the 15 total runs in the first three innings. The Corsairs won on the strength of two runs in the middle innings.
Adrian clubbed four home runs among 32 hits to win both ends of a twinbill over Calvin, 10-2 and 11-5, completing a four-game sweep of their MIAA series. Senior Ian Mikowski was 6-for-9 at the leadoff spot during the doubleheader. Sophomore Jason Schroeder improved to 4-0 on the season in Game 1 after striking out seven batters in 5-1/3 innings. He scattered six hits and walked three that led to two runs. In the nightcap, freshman pitcher Spencer Ford picked up the win (2-0) in relief. He scattered eight hits, five walks and three runs over 6-2/3 innings. He had three strikeouts.
Virginia Wesleyan extended its winning streak to three games, and moved into fourth place in the ODAC standings, with an ODAC doubleheader sweep over Roanoke. The Marlins won game one easily 10-1, but it was a much close affair with a 9-8 victory in the nightcap.

Carthage opened a three-game weekend CCIW series with a pair of dominant seven-inning wins over Millikin, defeating the Big Blue 13-3 and 10-0 at Augie Schmidt Field. The wins move the Red Men to one-game over .500, 4-3 in the conference, while Millikin falls to 2-5 in the CCIW. "Tim Sulik and Chris DeRue had been unlucky early this season," said head coach Augie Schmidt on his winning pitchers after Saturday's sweep. "They have both pitched really well but weren't getting any run support. Today they did."
Stephen Keskinidis struck out nine batters in a 14-1 game two victory as the Vikings of Salem State split an afternoon doubleheader with the Bears of Bridgewater State. The Bears took game one with a 7-4 victory behind Reed Pike's three RBI's to earn their first conference win. The split set the Bears to 7-9 on the season while evening their record at 1-1 in the MASCAC. Salem State goes to 10-11 and 1-1 in league play.
Coming off a weekend sweep last week of Marian and Milwaukee School of Engineering, the Cougars come into weekend number two looking to continue their momentum in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference against Aurora who came in at 3-1 in the NACC. The Cougars got the best of the Spartans as they swept Aurora winning by the final scores of 13-0 and 12-4.
Sophomore left-hander Matt Correale earned a save in the first game and the win in the nightcap as Southern Maine swept the Eastern Connecticut State Warriors, 5-2 and 2-1, in a Little East Conference doubleheader at the EC Baseball Stadium. The sweep extended the Huskies' winning streak to four games, and improved their overall record to 11-7. The Warriors, the defending LEC champions, have dropped three of their last four games, and are now 1-3 in conference play. This is the third straight year that USM has swept the regular-season doubleheader with ECSU.
Ithaca secured a 14-6 win against Elmira in the first game of a three-game Empire 8 Conference weekend series at Dunn Field. Ithaca finished the afternoon with 19 hits, including nine for extra bases. Josh Savacool and Trevor Thompson each had three-hit games
Waynesburg hosted Penn State Behrend for a sun-drenched doubleheader. The Yellow Jackets slugged it out over 14 innings to earn a split with the visiting Lions. Behrend built an early lead and held off a late Jacket rally for a 7-6 win in game one. Waynesburg snapped a six-game losing streak by producing its most runs this season since March 2 during a 15-6 win in game two.
Trevor Denton and Mitchell Stumpo each posted five RBI apiece over Guilford's ODAC doubleheader split with Eastern Mennonite. The Royals claimed game one, 9-5, but the Quakers roared back to win the nightcap, 15-4. Logan Washle led the Quakers with eight hits over the doubleheader, including a five-for-six game two. Mitchell Stumpo finished seven-for-11 on his five RBI day with two triples. Eastern Mennonite's Joe Hall posted six hits and four RBI over the doubleheader to lead Eastern Mennonite. Damon Frazier finished with five hits and two RBI.
Gilberto Mendoza, Jr. batted 3-5 with four RBI and two doubles as the Bearcats hit their way to a 15-10 victory at Lehman. Matthew Fazio pitched the last four innings, throwing five strikeouts. Raymond Maurer finished the game batting a career-high 4-for-6 with two RBI and two runs scored.
