No. 3 Birmingham-Southern will get a chance to defend its Southern Athletic Association tournament title after defeating Berry 7-2 Monday evening on Striplin Field in the SSA semifinals. As the top seed, BSC hosts the championship series May 6-7. Four Panthers finished with two hits, led by David Scott and Preston White. Scott earned three runs and had two stolen bases. White knocked in two RBI. Tyler Wise also had two RBI to go along with his two hits and a run.

Sophomore Brian McHale went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored as Babson defeated Western New England, 3-0, in non-conference action at Govoni Field. With its ninth straight win, Babson is now 22-13 overall, while Western New England falls to 21-16 on the year. Freshman Jake Oliger had a pair of hits, while junior John Floegel and four relievers combined to strike out 10 in an eight-hit shutout. Floegel struck out four over five innings, sophomore Max Tannenbaum struck out the side in the seventh and junior Matt Cuneo closed it out in the ninth for his eighth save.
The Pacific Boxers built a 10-0 lead in the first five innings en route to a 12-7 win over host George Fox to end the 2017 season for both teams. The Boxers, who started the season with a 15-4 win on Feb. 2 vs. the Bruins, continued its offensive explosion in Newberg and Morse Athletic Field. Pacific had a season-high 17 hits in the win including six with multiple hits. Seniors Charlie Dietrich and Josh Keithly each wrapped up their careers with three hits, plus sophomore Drew Fagerness also had three hits to go along with three RBI.
Keystone battled past Misericordia with a 9-7 victory in a non-conference contest at Christy Mathewson Field. The Giants lift their record to 26-10 overall with the win over the regional-rival Cougars, who slip to 24-12 on the season. The Giants will host Stevens on Tuesday then look forward to a series with Immaculata to determine the CSAC regular season title.
Dominican took a doubleheader from the MSOE Raiders in the rain to improve to 15-21 on the season and 6-10 in the NACC. The Stars overcame a four-run deficit before walking off, 7-6, in game one before erasing a five-run Raiders' lead in a 10-6 victory in game two.
No. 1 Shenandoah completed its regular season with a 6-4 non-league victory over York (Pa.). Celebrating its Senior Day, the Hornets (34-6) used all 12 seniors in the contest, including three players that made their first starts of the year and two: pitcher Ryan Kinter and outfielder Stefan Kresslein, making their first-ever starts. Kinter (1-0) got the win by pitching the first three innings of the contest. He gave up just one hit before turning it over to classmate Steve Jones to start the fourth. All five pitchers used were seniors with Jones pitching two innings, Nate Loman and Brian Roden one inning each and Tyler Hott the final two frames. Hott got the final six outs, striking out two, to earn his seventh save of the season.

The Wheaton (Ill.) Thunder overcame a three-hour rain delay to earn a key 9-3 victory at CCIW rival North Central. With the victory, Wheaton clinches the season-series between the two teams and improves to 21-15 on the seaon and 11-9 in CCIW play. North Central is now 15-14 overall and 10-7 in conference action. The final game of the series will be made up at a time to be announced. Wheaton took advantage of six North Central errors to score nine runs on eight hits. North Central used two Wheaton errors to score three runs on seven hits.
Sophomore righty Matt McDonald won for the second time in six days and junior center fielder Tommy Trotter led the offense as Scranton defeated Marywood, 6-4, at Pacers Field. The Royals won for the fourth time in their last five games and improved to 13-7 in non-conference play. They scored once in the first and three times in the second to take control, then scored single runs in the seventh and eighth, which thwarted the comeback by Marywood, which scored once in the seventh and three times in the eighth.
UMass-Boston outlasted Endicott with a 5-4 win , in 10 innings at Monan Park. Luke Nagle provided the game-winning hit with a single to the left side of the infield with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning. Bobby Tramondozzi picked up the win in relief via 2.1 innings pitched, one hit, zero runs, a walk, and two strikeouts. Endicott led 4-2 after six full innings, but a two-run home run from Anthony Searles in the seventh inning forced the eventual extra inning affair.
With two outs and two runners on in the bottom of the 10th with the score tied at 7-all, Kevin Higgins made the most of his lone hit of the night, as the sophomore brought in the go-ahead run to boast Suffolk to a walk-off win over No. 18 Salve Regina at East Boston Memorial Park
Oberlin earned a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Allegheny Gators to secure second place in the NCAC East Division, and a return trip to the NCAC tournament the second weekend in May. The Yeomen took game one 8-5 and rallied for three in the sixth to win game two 4-3. By winning three of four games in the series, Oberlin moved to 10-6 in the NCAC East Division and by winning the series it has the tiebreak advantage over the Gators who will enter the crossover series at 7-9 in conference action. Meaning no matter what happens next weekend, Oberlin will be the No. 2 seed from the east at the tournament. In addition to securing a postseason berth, the Yeomen will also host the NCAC Crossover Series for the first time in school history. They will play the yet-to-be-determined third-place team from the West Division this coming weekend at Dill Field with two games on Saturday and one on Sunday. No. 5 Wooster wrapped up the top East seed with a swwep of Hiram.
