Manchester parlayed a 13-hit attack with more strong starting pitching with a 8-3 win over DePauw on Sunday. A four-run fourth inning rally proved key, allowing Coach Rick Espeset's squad a 6-0 lead they wouldn't relinquish. Senior Taylor Kopplin followed suit with his Class of 2018 teammates on the mound. After Stephen Pinarski and Brandon Eck gained pitching wins March 10, Kopplin went the distance, striking out seven and giving up just the three earned runs on nine hits. The program's second complete-game outing in the past four contests helped the staff ERA continue to tumble to a season-low 5.64, as the Black and Gold have allowed only eight earned runs in the last 34 innings.

Earlham completed a three-game series sweep of visiting Kalamazoo with a 7-5 victory over the Hornets, at Sadler Stadium. The Quakers, who received a single vote in last week's D3baseball.com poll, remained undefeated with the win while improving their record to 11-0. Earlham posted four runs - all with two outs - in the sixth inning to rally from a 4-2 deficit and take a lead it held the rest of the way.
Despite a solid start by sophomore Nate Tellier and a solo jack by senior Zach Courier, Springfield scratched two runs across in the seventh to push past the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, 3-1, in game one of a doubleheader. The Corsairs came back in the afternoon and won game two by a score of 3-2 via situational hitting to split the day's decisions with the Pride.
In Keystone's 5-2 win over Marietta, all indications are the Giants hitting is starting to get on track. Junior Johann Paniagua belted a two-run home run and junior pitcher Christopher Adams Jr. struck out six batters over eight innings as Keystone won its second straight game to improve to 3-4. After managing just nine hits in their last three games, the Giants belted out seven today, including two by junior Mohammed Hussein and one each by senior Bray Curreri, juniors Dakota McFadden and Chris Panzarella, and sophomore Ryan Callahan.
Rutgers-Camden proved it can win the blowouts as well as the pitching duels as it opened its trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational with a pair of impressive wins. With an impressive slugging performance in the opener, Rutgers-Camden defeated Olivet, 16-3, in a game called after seven innings. Junior Ian Scheidemann allowed only one earned run in his complete-game performance. In the nightcap, the Scarlet Raptors got a shutout from senior Carter Fichter in a 2-0 win over Ripon. The Scarlet Raptors have won four straight games since a season-opening loss.
Sophomore Joey Zwak's one-out hit in the bottom of the 10th drove in Aaron Weber to give St. Scholastica a 6-5 victory over Washington University to open play at the Russmatt Invitational. After the Bears went down in order in the top of the 10th, Weber led off the bottom frame with a walk. A Bobby Eckert sacrifice moved Weber to second and Colvard then singled to put runners at the corners. Zwak then stepped in and ripped a shot to right to plate Weber and give the Saints the 6-5 walk-off victory.

Rutgers-Newark improved to 4-3 on the 2018 season with a thrilling 6-4 10-inning win at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Senior Adam Tricarico singled with one out in the 10th, moved to second on a groundout and came around to score on a big-time double off the bat of senior Anthony Perconte with two outs. Junior Luke Magliaro followed with a double of his own to plate Perconte for some insurance, and sophomore hurler Michael Katims struck out two in a perfect final inning of work to lock up the victory.
Alma met with the Panthers of Hanover at the Grand Park Sports Campus for Alma's first doubleheader of the season. Sophomore Josh Riggs pitched a complete game, striking out eight while only allowing two hits as the Scots defeated Hanover, 2-0, in game one. Sophomores Max Trucks and Vann Acker were each responsible for a game-winning RBI. Acker's came as part of a two-run eighth inning to secure game two, 3-1.
Case Western Reserve scored 16 runs in the final four innings, including 12 in the ninth inning alone, to overcome a pair of one-run deficits and defeat Trinity (Conn.) 16-8 at the Spartan Southern Classic at Lexington County Stadium in Lexington, South Carolina. The Spartans registered a season-high 16 runs and 17 hits, while five CWRU pitchers combined to hold the Bantams to just six hits in the game. CWRU's top-four hitters in the lineup combined to go 11-for-18 with 11 runs scored and four runs batted in, including a four-for-six game with from junior left fielder Jacob Pestel, and a two-for-four performance with three runs, three RBIs and a double for junior third baseman Jacob Kucia.
Endicott opened up their seven-game schedule against SCIAC opponents with a doubleheader sweep of La Verne by capturing 6-4 and 11-8 victories at La Verne's Ben Hines Field. In their first of a seven-game schedule in Southern California, Endicott got a strong start from senior left-handed starter Will Ferreira and RBIs from five different hitters in the lineup as the Gulls handed La Verne a 6-4 loss in game one of their doubleheader. Game two saw Endicott and La Verne combine for 19 runs and 22 hits, but an eight-run top of the fourth inning helped catapult the Gulls to complete the doubleheader sweep of the Leopards. This was the first meeting between Endicott and La Verne in either program's history.

David Sevigny went 3-for-5 with two RBI and tossed two innings of relief as Keene State kicked off their Spring Break trip to Florida with an 8-4 win over Stockton. The Owls also got strong days at the plate from Devin Springfield, who went 3-for-5 with an inside-the-park home run, a triple, and three RBI. Abe Grainger and Nate Rossi each had a pair of hits.
Scranton fell behind early and could not mount a rally in a 12-6 loss to Hood during the team's spring break trip. Hood (10-0) scored three runs in the second inning and four more in the top of the third for a 7-1 lead. Scranton (2-2) fought back with three in the bottom of the third to cut the deficit to 7-4, but the Blazers took command with a four-run sixth inning. The Royals were led by freshman left fielder Connor Harding, who singled twice, drove in three and scored a run. Senior second baseman Patrick Mergel doubled twice, drove in a run and scored a run.
The University of Dallas picked up its second doubleheader sweep in consecutive weekends and have won four-of-five contests after defeating Blackburn in a pair of seven-inning finals. Dallas took an early lead in game one thanks to a couple defensive miscues, and would break the game open with a six-run 6th. Seth Hanson highlighted the outburst with a three-run homer to left field. In game two, the Crusaders responded to a 5-3 deficit in the 5th by immediately tying things. In the sixth, the home squad turned the momentum for good with back-to-back RBI doubles by Josh Abalos and Nathan Patton. Jordan Stickler – who reached base in every plate appearance in the twinbill – hustled from first base on the go-ahead run.
Oglethorpe won, 11-10, over the homestanding Centre Colonels, taking 2-of-3 from the home team in a wild series in Danville, Kentucky. The Stormy Petrels came back from being down 9-6 in the seventh inning to take the lead, then scored the game-winning run in the eighth inning off an RBI single from senior left fielder Britton Araujo after Centre had tied the game again in the seventh. With the victory, the Petrels improved to 13-6 on the season overall and 4-2 in SAA play.
Willamette outhit Whitman 9-6, but the Bearcats couldn't string the hits together, as the Blues won a pitchers' duel 5-1 at Borleske Field. Whitman held a 2-1 lead after four innings and maintained its slim advantage until the Blues used three hits to score three runs in the bottom of the eighth. Whitman advanced its record to 6-11 on the season, 2-4 in the NWC. Willamette dropped to 9-11 overall, 5-7 in the NWC. The Blues won the three-game series, 2-1.
