Penn State Abington traveled up to Muhlenberg and took two from the Mules in a series sweep on Sunday afternoon. Abington rallied to an 8-6 win in game one, and took game two 8-5 to improve to 7-8 for the season. Sophomore Ryan McCarty got back on track for the Nittany Lions going 5-of-7 at the plate with two RBIs and two doubles between both games. On the mound McCarty also picked up his first win of the season pitching five innings with three strikeouts.
New Jersey City got back on the field after a rain-shortened week and its bats ignited for the most runs in a game in two years. The Gothic Knights broken open a 3-1 game with seven runs in the sixth inning, five more in the seventh and four in the top of the eighth, en route to a 19-9 non-conference road win over the College of Staten Island. NJCU led 15-1 before CSI scored in the final three innings. NJCU (6-4) won for the sixth time in seven games as it pounded out 18 hits on the day. Every Gothic Knight in the opening lineup had a hit and scored a run and four different Knights had multiple hits. It was NJCU's largest run production since a 21-9 win at Mount Saint Mary on March 30, 2017. NJCU had eight extra-base hits in the win.
Tyler Hopman tossed a complete game, striking out eight, as Kean topped Keystone by the final of 4-1. Hopman (2-2) allowed just one run (a leadoff solo home run) while scattering seven hits. Offensively Carello and Nick Polizzano each had two hits for Kean while Chris Panzarella and Dakota McFadden each had two hits for the Giants.
Led by a pair of home runs by junior Matt Johnston and an offense that produced 23 hits on the day, the MIT baseball team opened its spring break trip with wins over the University of La Verne and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Johnston and senior Jared Schwait led the Engineers with five hits in the two games.
Senior righty Jordan Muchin pitched a complete-game four-hit shutout with ten strikeouts and two walks in the first game and freshman catcher Matt Malcom homered twice when the Eastern Connecticut State opened its Little East Conference and home seasons with 5-0, 12-6 wins over UMass-Dartmouth at the Eastern Baseball Stadium. After pitching eight shutout innings in a 7-0 victory over nationally No.-1 ranked College of Wooster (11 strikeout, four hits) in his last start a week ago in Florida, Muchin (2-1) outdueled UMass Dartmouth (5-9, 0-2 LEC) senior righty Matt Cronin – a second-team Division III All-America as a junior – in Sunday's first game for his fifth career shutout and lower his ERA to 2.57 in 21 innings this year. In the second game, Eastern backed junior righty John Parker with five runs in its first two at-bats and the Warriors extended a one-run lead by scoring four times in the bottom of the seventh on leadoff singles from senior second baseman William Coleman and Malcom, three walks and a hit batter to sweep UMass Dartmouth for the first time in the regular season in seven years.
Manhattanvile swept a crucial MAC Freedom doubleheader against the King's College, winning the first game in walk-off fashion 5-4 and the second game 10-6 with a nine-run sixth inning. Junior Stephen Merrill and sophomore Hathaway Roper both had three-hit games and combined for four runs and five RBI's in the second game after Merrill delivered a walk-off hit in the first game. King's senior Christian Pack had five hits in seven at-bats.
Albion split its Sunday doubleheader with Olivet to take three of the four games in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association series. Kellan Huang went 4-for-6 with two walks and two runs batted in and he was the winning pitcher in game two. Joe Turnbull went 3-for-6 with two doubles and four RBI, and Riley Stesiak went 3-for-6 with a triple and three RBI.
Mitchell swept a non-conference doubleheader from Husson, winning by final scores of 30-0 and 9-1 at Alumni Field. The Mariners finished with a combined 29 hits on the day, the majority coming in the opener. Steve Cochrane led the offensive charge with five hits and 10 RBI in the doubleheader. In the first game alone he swatted two home runs and knocked in a school record nine runs. Mitchell (9-5 overall) will next host Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday.

La Roche traveled to Houghton, NY to take on Alfred St in a doubleheader, and took home both wins scoring 17-8 and then 10-6. In the first game, both teams got off to a slow start, but La Roche kicked it into high gear with two runs in the fourth inning and then eleven runs in the fifth inning. The second game was a bit closer at 10-6 but La Roche still wasn't letting them have it. The Redhawks scored seven runs over the first three innings and went on to earn the victory.
Berry secured a series sweep of the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels, led by a complete game, 4-0, shutout from freshman pitcher Garrett West. The victory pushes Berry's record to 18-6 overall and a conference-best 7-2 record. The Vikings hold a one game lead over Hendrix in the SAA. West's win was his third of the year. He went a complete 9.0 shutout innings, allowing just three hits and striking out a career-high seven batters.
Neumann's Joe Nepi belted a two-run homer run with Colin Pollard and Curt Yenchik each driving in a pair of runs as the Knights used two big scoring innings in a 10-3 victory over Montclair State at Yogi Berra Stadium. Phil Sanborn pitched into the ninth inning as Neumann scored four times in the first and added six in the sixth to improve to 8-9 on the season. Freshman first baseman Peter Cosentino launched a three-run homer for the Red Hawks (6-7).
Washington & Jefferson bested Thiel twice on Sunday to complete a regular-season sweep of the Tomcats. W&J won game one by a 16-5 final score behind a 10-run fourth inning. The Presidents took game two, 8-2, extending their win streak to five. Following today's action, the Red & Black are 8-7 overall this season and 3-0 in the PAC. The Presidents continued to keep their bats hot in the opener, defeating Thiel by a 16-5 final score. W&J logged 10 hits and a season-high 13 walks. The second game of the day mirrored the first, as it was fueled by the long ball. The Presidents again hit two homers, with Griffin hitting his second of the afternoon in the nightcap.
Junior Chandler Brierley pitched seven shutout innings and struck out a career-high 12 batters as Stevens topped Elmira 10-1 in a Empire 8 Conference matchup at Dobbelaar Field. Brierley earned his first win on the mound with today's start for the Ducks, who improved to 6-9 on the year and 3-0 in E8 play. "Good sweep, our guys did a good job closing the deal today," commented head coach Kristaps Aldins. "Chandler controlled the tempo on the mound all day and gave us an excellent start. We had a few lulls offensively in the middle innings, but we think our offense is really starting to come alive as we head into conference play."
Scranton completed a three-game sweep of Juniata on Sunday by winning both ends of a doubleheader at Volpe Field after taking the first game of the Landmark Conference series on Saturday. The Royals (6-7, 4-1 Landmark) won Sunday's opening game, 8-6, before closing out the series with a 9-2 triumph over the Eagles (5-8, 0-3 Landmark) in the nightcap.

Immaculata picked up its first-ever Atlantic East Conference victories to extend its win streak to eight in a doubleheader sweep of Marywood by final scores of 7-0 and 5-4. Senior Billy Manzo twirled a complete-game, two-hit shutout in game one before Cameron Delisle and Connor Blesi launched back-to-back home runs in the top of the eighth to lift the Macs to the the game two victory. Greg Grandelli and Zach Smiley combined for six innings of one-run ball in game two of the doubleheader to complete the sweep, as Grandelii picked up his third win of the season while Smiley converted his third save in the effort.
Purchase opened Skyline Conference action with a doubleheader sweep over Yeshiva at home Sunday afternoon. With contributions from both the Panther offense and starting pitchers, Brian Cunningham and John Fitzgerald, Purchase walked away with 11-1 and 9-4 victories on the day. Purchase stands at 9-4 overall and 2-0 in the Skyline—the most notable start in recent program history. In defeat, Yeshiva drops to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the league.
Senior Alex Libby struck out seven over seven innings to pick up the win as Plymouth State topped Bates, 5-3, in game one of a non-conference doubleheader at Coombs Field at Colby College. The Bobcats earned the split with a 6-3 win in game two. Libby surrendered just two earned over his seven innings in the opener and the Panthers scored twice in the top of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie. Junior Alex Larson picked up his second save after allowing one hit over the final two innings. Bates took an early lead in game two. The Panthers cut the deficit to 4-2 in the fourth, but the hosts tacked on two more runs in the seventh. Junior Andrew Salta homered to lead off the ninth, but PSU was unable to get any closer. Plymouth State goes to 7-6 on the season, with Bates moving to 5-6.
Sewanee completed a Southern Athletic Association series win over the Colonels of Centre , 6-5. Trey Holland (3-1) flirted with a perfect game, recording 18 straight outs before Will Kirk ended the bid with a leadoff double. He tossed six-plus innings, striking out eight. Trey Akins recorded three singles and a double for a perfect 4-for-4 day with an RBI. Chris McNulty drove in two runs, while Braxton Swanson posted a two-hit day with a run scored. Riley Brandvold posted two hits and runs scored on the day. He extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
Case Western Reserve swept a doubleheader against St. John Fisher, winning the first game 5-4 in seven innings on a walk-off base hit by freshman outfielder Cole Jarrett, and claiming a 7-2 win in the late game at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland, Ohio. The Spartans have now won six-straight games and eight of their last nine to improve to 12-6 overall, including a 6-0 mark at Nobby's Ballpark this season. St. John Fisher, which received votes in the latest D3baseball.com Top-25 poll, dropped to 8-5 on the season with the two losses.
Ursinus rallied back to win the first game against CCNY and dismantled the Beavers in the closing contest to sweep a history-laden doubleheader at Thomas Field. Junior Dom Fiorentino lit the fire to a strong batting day for the Bears (8-5), who racked up 25 runs on 25 hits. Ursinus took the opener by a count of 8-6 before rolling to a 17-3 blowout in the second. Fiorentino pounded out four extra-base hits in the two games, eclipsing 100 hits for his career and falling a single shy of completing the cycle for the day. The slugger started his day with his seventh triple of the year to tie Mike Gizzi (2003) for the Ursinus single-season mark just 12 games into the season. Junior Alex Mumme matched the career mark for most doubles in Ursinus history. Mumme hit two doubles to get his total to 44, which ties Chris Jablonksi '16 atop the list. The dominant hitter went 3-for-4 with a homer, three runs and a RBI in the second contest. The home run was Mumme's 15th of his career, which puts him in a tie for third in Ursinus history with Ben Gresh '12.
Alvernia (13-5, 6-0) scored 12 runs over the final five innings in a 12-8 win over Lebanon Valley (9-7, 2-3) in MAC Commonwealth action at LVC to complete a 3-game sweep. Nathan Sides led the Alvernia offense going 5-for-6 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Sides drive in two runs with a single to right in the sixth that tied the game at 5-5. Joe Ginder and Ian Shaffer drove in runs in the sixth to put Alvernia up 7-5 and the Wolves never trailed from there. Gavin Blankenbiller picked up the win in relief of Jake Reese allowing two runs on four hits over four and a third innings.
