Left fielder Brandon Davis battled through a full-count walk to bring third baseman Justin Woolbright to the plate. Sitting on a mistake curve ball, Woolbright sent a double down the left-field line as the Vikings had a pair of runners in scoring position with no outs. Putting North Park ahead by two, Richie Silva and Logan Peters tallied back-to-back sacrifice flies to bring home Cantu and Woolbright, as the Vikings were in the driver's seat moving to the bottom of the 12th. Moving on to his fifth inning of work, Banks would earn all three outs via strikeout as the Vikings upset the top-ranked Cougars, 9-7.

Saint Mary's (Minn.) experienced the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat — and the thrill of victory — in the span of two innings Tuesday afternoon. Deadlocked at 3-3 heading to the seventh and final inning of Game 1 in their doubleheader against Augsburg, the Cardinals took the lead in dramatic fashion — as Matthew Piechowski launched a two-out home run. A pair of Saint Mary's miscues in the bottom of the seventh, however, led to an Augsburg run — and sent the game into extra innings. Saint Mary's took a page out of the Auggies' book in the top of the eighth, scoring on a two-out fielding error — and Jake Kramlinger set Augsburg down in order in the bottom of the eighth to preserve the Cardinals' 5-4, come-from-behind victory. It was another nailbiter in the nightcap — and again, it was the Cardinals to come away with the one-run win. The game was all about a pitchers' duel between Cardinal starter Luke Gilbertson and Augsburg's Dylan Irving.

With the split, NJCU is 13-16 overall and 3-11 in the NJAC. Montclair drops to 11-22 and 2-12 NJAC.
