No. 18 Washington University finished off a four-game sweep of Brandeis Sunday morning by beating the Judges 11-0 after seven innings of play at Stein Diamond. WashU improved to 20-3-1 overall including 6-0 in UAA play as the Judges dropped to 9-13 (0-8 UAA) following the sweep. The Bears completed their eighth shutout and eighth double digit run total of the season during the win. Junior pitcher Matt Ashbaugh held Brandeis scoreless in six innings of work and limited the Judges to just one-hit. Ashbaugh matched a season-high six innings pitched while combining with sophomore pitcher Tim Tague for the shutout. Tague struck out two batters without allowing a hit in the final inning of the game. Senior second baseman Evan Nagel knocked in a career-high four runs while going 3-for-5 from the plate with two doubles.
After suffering a hard-luck 1-0 loss despite allowing just two hits in the first game, top-ranked Christopher Newport rebounded for a 7-2 win in game two of a doubleheader against 15th-ranked Salisbury (20-6-1, 10-2) to capture a pivotal CAC series win. The Captains improved to 23-3 overall and 11-1 in league play after picking up two of three games against the Sea Gulls over the weekend. CNU saw a 13-game winning streak halted with the game one loss as Salisbury got a complete-game shutout from Jimmy Adkins (3-0) on the mound. The bounceback victory in game two was highlighted by another strong pitching performance and a pair of three-run innings offensively. With Nathan Clements starting, the Captains held Salisbury to just two runs in the game and only ten in the three-game set against the Sea Gulls. Clements allowed just three hits over 4.0 innings of work with two runs allowed, one earned.
In the rubber game of the weekend series between the Emory and Huntingdon , it was junior Christopher Stern who delivered the heroic base hit as the Eagles defeated the No.-17 ranked Hawks, 6-5, at Chappell Park in Atlanta, GA. With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the ninth, Stern ripped the walk-off single past the drawn in infield on the shortstop side, scoring sophomore Michael Edelman with the game clinching run. The win gave the Eagles the series victory and moved Emory three games over .500 at 14-11 on the season. The win also marked the team's seventh win in the past eight contests.

No. 14 TCNJ scored three runs in the bottom of the second, representing the only runs scored as the Lions defeated Montclair State, 3-0, at George Ackerman Park. Three TCNJ pitchers combined on the third TCNJ shutout victory of the season. Freshman starter Matt Volpe made a strong case for his third consecutive NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week award. He moved to 3-0 on the season after throwing 5.2 innings, allowing no runs and two hits with four strikeouts. Danny Borup and Matt Giacose led the TCNJ offensive attack with two hits apiece. All 13 combined hits in the game were singles.
Nationally-ranked Adrian set records and continued to flex its muscles on offense and on the mound at Olivet, sweeping the host Comets 12-1 and 22-4 in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association doubleheader. Thomas Miller established an Adrian single-game record with 13 total bases and tied with the two home runs accomplished eight other times. His six hits were two off the NCAA Division III record and one RBI shy of the Bulldogs benchmark. Adrian's 23 hits in today's second contest are the second-most in school history and No. 1 in a true road game. The record of 24 was set by the 2017 squad against North Central-Illinois. It took over 21 innings before Mo Hanley allowed his first earned run of 2019. He vaults to the top of the ERA chart of the MIAA after his outing at Olivet Sunday.
Freshman Ben Gbur delivered the go-ahead RBI in the top of the 11th inning, and a spectacular defensive play in the bottom of the frame helped preserve the win, as 10th-ranked College of Wooster needed extras to top host La Roche College 6-4 at Pittsburgh, Pa. Junior Nick Strausbaugh doubled to lead off the 11th inning, and Wooster (13-4) caught a break when Tre Cunningham mishandled freshman Tyler Chumita's sacrifice bunt. Gbur reached on a fielder's choice with Strausbaugh coming in on the play, and the Scots' right fielder later scored on senior Chandler Dippman's RBI two-bagger. Senior Jacob Stuursma gave Wooster a three-run cushion at 6-3 when he scored on junior Harry Witwer-Dukes' fielder's choice. In the bottom of the inning, junior Aaron Spidell kept Wooster in front by two when he got to Joe Professori's double down the left field line in time to start a 7-6-2 relay with junior Dan Gail applying the tag on Austin Hoffman just in time for the second out of the inning. Stuursma back-handed Jay Novak's grounder to short and made the play at first base for the final out of the game.
Methodist picked up a win on its Senior Day against visiting Brevard, 4-1, in USA South Athletic Conference play. The victory also gives the Monarchs a season sweep of the Tornados. Before the game, Methodist honored the team's five seniors -- Seth Beard, Tyler Carmen, Thomas Dean, Will May and Bryan Shira. Beard got the start on the mound and delivered a glitzy performance with seven strikeouts. He allowed only five hits and one earned run during his seven innings.

Senior Jack Sylvia and sophomore Sam Troiano each hit home runs as the third-ranked University of Southern Maine Huskies pounded out 19 hits en route to a 14-2 win over the visiting Nichols College Bison in a non-conference baseball game Sunday afternoon at Ed Flaherty Field. The Huskies' 19-hit attack supported the solid pitching effort of sophomore starter Joshua Joy and three relievers. Joy evened his record at 1-1 after allowing one run on four hits without walking a batter over six innings. He struck out seven. Every member of the Huskies' starting lineup had at least one hit in the game, led by senior Jake Dexter who was 4-four-5 with two runs scored and two RBI. Sylvia, who was 2-for-4 with two RBI, hit his first career home run in the fifth inning. Troiano finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI, both coming on his blast in the seventh.
Rowan shut out New Jersey City University, 13-0 for the second time of the season. The Profs win their seventh straight contest and have a 17-5 record and they are 5-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Gothic Knights are 11-8 overall with a 2-5 conference mark. Left-hander Drew Ryback tossed a complete game on the mound. He (4-0) struck out 10 batters and allowed five hits. Second baseman Alex Kokos and shortstop Dillon Mendel totaled three hits apiece. Mendel had four runs batted in (RBI) and a home run. Kokos chipped in with two doubles and two runs.
No. 6-ranked Swarthmore cruised to a 10-1 victory over Ursinus at Clothier Field. The Garnet (16-6, 4-2) had 16 hits in the game, and the Bears (12-10, 3-3) had four. Ursinus was fresh off sweeping Johns Hopkins in a doubleheader on Saturday. Perhaps overshadowed again by offense, junior starting pitcher Jack Corkery threw eight innings of one-run baseball. He allowed just four hits as he improves to 4-0 on the season. His ERA is 1.26 over 28 innings.
