More news about: Linfield

Linfield College baseball head coach Stan Manley has announced his retirement from coaching after two seasons at the helm, director of athletics Garry Killgore announced Tuesday.

"Coach Manley will be missed in the athletic department as a loyal Linfield supporter, coach and teammate. He is an outstanding man!" said Killgore in announcing Manley's retirement.

Before building Sheldon High School into a baseball powerhouse, Manley followed the footsteps of his father, Gene, to Linfield where he played for Hall of Fame coach Ad Rutschman. Manley's son, Zach, also attended the college, and was a member of Linfield 2013 national championship baseball team.

A successor has not been named. A formal search for a replacement is underway.
