George Fox scored four in the ninth inning to steal a 4-3 win from Texas Lutheran on a day that continued to see openers for many. Randolph-Macon, Roanoke, Ferrum, and Eastern Mennonite opened with wins giving the ODAC a 5-0 day on Satuday February 8th.

In comeback fashion, the George Fox Bruins topped the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs 4-3. The Bruins scored three runs in the ninth to take the game on a walk-off walk. With their backs to the wall, the Bruins strung together a rally to bring home the win. Matthew Seblosky's single to center with the bases loaded scored one and catcher Travis Miller got a single tying the game at 3-3 With two outs. Leon Johnson III came back up to bat, and after starting the first rally, he patiently drew a walk, walk-ing in Seblosky to win the game.

Austin used a walk-off game two victory to split its season-opening doubleheader against the University of the Ozarks on Saturday, falling 1-0 in game one before taking a 2-1 win to cap the day. Pitching was the story of the day in both games, with Ozarks and the 'Roos combining for just eight hits in game one and 10 hits in game two. In game one, the two teams were scoreless until the top of the fourth, when the Eagles got an RBI double from Luke Morrison that provided all the cushion pitcher David Beck would need. Beck went the distance for Ozarks, surrendering just three hits while striking out seven batters and issuing zero walks. In game two the 'Roos loaded the bases in the final inning, the Eagles appeared to be on the verge of escaping unscathed but Webster's grounded got through second base on an error, scoring Sergio Di Paoli to give Austin the walk-off victory.

Things could not have gone more smoothly for Methodist as the Monarchs routed Hardin-Simmons, 14-3, on the second day of the Rusty Greer/Jackie Moore Collegiate Classic. Batting, pitching, fielding, it all went right for Methodist, or wrong for Hardin-Simmons. The Monarchs' bats came alive with a whopping 15 hits. Alex Kachler went 4-of-5 with two doubles plus a walk, and Christian Yarbrough was 3-for-3 with two walks. On the mound, Tyler Brown was dominant, allowing just two earned runs and six hits in seven innings. Meanwhile, the Cowboys' fielding was atrocious, as Hardin-Simmons committed six errors.

Senior Shawn Nickles and junior Jacob Selden both doubled and knocked in two as No. 20 Randolph-Macon outscored Belhaven 9-3.  Mike Nickles reached five times, going 3 for 4 with two walks. Spencer Pietruszynski also had three hits. In the season opener earlier in the day, freshman Ricky Gannett had two hits and knocked in three in his collegiate debut as Randolph-Macon defeated Rhodes 6-3.

LeTourneau split a doubleheader at Millsaps Saturday to
win the season-opening series. LeTourneau (2-1) dropped
the first game, 4-2, before winning the nightcap, 6-0.

Ferrum opened it's season with a win in the first game of a two game series over Christopher Newport at Panther Field, 8-7. Carlton Redd (1-0) earned the win for the Panthers out of the pen as the Captains starter Josh Husby (0-1) took the loss. "We didn't play clean baseball today but we were great at the most important thing, winning. I'm proud of our guys and really good early season win against a quality opponent, " saidhead coach Ryan Brittle.

Cal Lutheran trailed at two different times during Saturday morning's contest inside Kino Sports Complex, but used an offensive explosion in the seventh inning to propel themselves to a 13-5 victory over Sul Ross State. Mason Snodgrass was chosen to start the game on the mound for the Kingsmen and battled his way to a win after throwing six innings. The junior allowed five earned runs while racking up five strikeouts against a talented SRSU offense. Recording multi-hit days for CLU were Tanner Wright, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and Matt Sciumbato who had a 2-for-3 day at the plated with two runs scored and an RBI.

William Peace took a (2-0) lead in their three-game series over Brevard. The series will conclude with a single game on February 9th. Logan Barbour and Alec Seaton would each record 3 hits in game one. Hunter Ward tallied 3 RBI's in game one, 2 of which came from his homerun in the bottom of the sixth.

Southern Virginia fell 9-2 in game one of today's doubleheader and then followed with a 12-2 game two win to take the series over Greensboro 2-1 at BB&T Point Park. Southern Virginia showcased its offensive talent in game two of the doubleheader. Southern Virginia had seven different players record multiple hits totaling 18 hits as a team. Cole Critchfield led the team with a perfect day (4-for-4) with two RBIs and a walk.
