Berry moved to 3-0 on a day that others kept the undefeated tag on their 2020 season. Chapman also stayed unbeaten, scoring 46 runs in winning the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Arizona. Other teams that played on Sunday without a loss include Birmingham-Southern, Cal Lutheran and George Fox.

Berry improved to 3-0 on the year with back-to-back 7-4 victories over Emory & Henry. Garrett West earned his first win of the year in the opening game, tossing 4.0 innings of shutout ball, allowing just two hits and fanning four. Ben Coker collected his second win of the season in game two, tossing 3.0 innings allowing just one run. Milan Sutaria earned the save, retiring the side in the seventh inning. This gave Berry head coach David Beasley his 650th career win.

George Fox wrapped up its season-opening road trip with a game against Concordia-Texas. The Bruins got great life from their bats against the Tornados in a 15-7 win over a talented CUT team that made the 2019 Super Regional round of NCAA postseason play. Masson Arnold's grand slam and JarredGee's inside-the-park homer were the brightest highlights on offense. On the mound, Matt Voelzke's 13 strikeouts were a season-best and a new career record for the senior hurler.

No. 4 Birmingham-Southern defeated the Emory Eagles 4-1 on improve to 2-0 this season. The game, originally scheduled to be a neutral site contest at Piedmont, was moved to Emory due to poor weather. After surrendering the opening run of the game in the first inning, the Panthers came back and scored four unanswered runs in the sixth, eighth, and ninth innings. Up 2-1 in the ninth, BSC scored two more insurance runs to cushion the lead.

Cal Lutheran capped off a perfect weekend in Arizona by using another late offensive surge to defeat Whitman with their 7-2 victory, Sunday morning at Kino Sports Complex. This is the first time in program history the Kingsmen have left Arizona undefeated. Freshman Kyle Reuser homered for the first time in the Purple and Gold to kickstart a five-run rally in the top of the eighth inning which would ultimately prove to be the difference in the ballgame. He finished his day 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and run scored. Ryan Probst was the other Kingsmen to notch a two-hit day while Ryne Yamashiro, Daniel Parr, Joseph Scalzo and Daniel Stauffer each tallied a hit in the contest.

The Lynx from Rhodes and the Huntingdon Hawks squared up against each other for a doubleheader. Each team took a game on the day to split the series. The Hawks took game one with a final score of 6-3 and the Lynx took game two 8-3. The teams combined for 34 base hits on the day. Huntingdon's Colton Clark lead all players with four hits on the day.

A four-run first inning and seven-run fourth inning propelled the Pacific University baseball team to its first win of the season with a 14-6 win over host La Verne on Sunday. The Boxers (1-3) continued to swing the hot bats for the second-straight day as they recorded 12 hits in the win. Tanner Johnson and Chase Anderson each had three hits to lead the attack. Anderson also had three RBI and three runs scored and Jordan Hara drove in a team-high five in the win.  La Verne (3-1) was handed its first loss of the season despite a 12-hit effort and used eight-different pitchers in the contest.

Methodist rallied from a five-run deficit to defeat No. 22 Texas Lutheran , 11-8, at the Rusty Greer/Jackie Moore Classic, spurred by a five-run seventh inning.  The Monarchs trailed 7-2 after five innings, stranding seven base runners -- five in scoring position -- before scoring in each of the next four innings to overtake the 2018 national finalists. Jacob Austin, Alex Kachler and Rob Wilkerson each collected three hits in the Monarchs' 17-hit attack.

Tanner Earhart and David Brosius got it done with the bats in the finale of the Tucson Cactus Classic, defeating Redlands 7-5 at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. Brosius also pitched in the final two innings to record his first save of the season. Brosius allowed six hits and one earned run, getting the one strike out. His three hits led the team offensively and tied with Earhart to lead the team with two RBIs.

Sewanee opened the 2020 season at Montgomery Field with an unbeaten day. The Tigers took down the Bearcats of Brescia, 7-3, in the opening game of the twinbill before the second game ended in an 11-11 tie due to darkness. Chris McNulty had a three-homer day in seven plate appearances. In game one, he launched a two-run home run and scored a run. In the second game, he was a perfect 3-of-3 with two homers and five RBI. Garrett Liebe also posted a homer in game one, while Jake Woolard was a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored in the second game. Wesley House finished with four RBI on the day, three coming in game one.
