Philip Mahlik and Tim Huxen combined for seven RBI as Kean University powered past Montclair State University by the final of 14-5 on Sunday afternoon. With the win the Cougars (17-13) win the best-of-three series against MSU and advance to face top seeded Rowan University in the semifinal best-of-three series beginning next Friday. The games will be played at Sandcastle/Surf/Bernie Robins Stadium in Atlantic City, N.J. Kean exploded for eight runs in the top of the seventh to put the game out of reach. Josh Jackson pushed across the winning run with a bases loaded walk. Huxen rounded out the scoring with a two RBI single.

During its four-game winning streak to close the regular season, TCNJ twice entered the ninth inning trailing and twice came out with a victory. That four-game winning streak was pivotal in the Lions moving out of a bottom-four seed in the NJAC tournament and avoiding the dreaded single elimination play-in game. Now, as the sixth-seed at Ramapo in the deciding game of the best-of-three quarterfinal series, the Lions entered the top of the ninth inning trailing, 3-1. The stakes were higher, with just three outs separating the Lions from the offseason. Instead, TCNJ rallied for six runs in the frame to stun Ramapo, 7-3. Heading into that final at-bat, the TCNJ offense had one run on five hits, and it hadn't scored since a fourth inning Ryan Goodall double scored Chris Cote. Joe Oczkowski led off the ninth inning with a single, and Cameron Cane followed with a walk. After an out, Jack Haynes walked to load the bases. Sebastian JnoBaptiste followed with another walk, forcing home Oczkowski to make it 3-2 Ramapo. Ramapo got a strikeout for the second out of the inning with the tying run still 90 feet away, and that set the stage for Goodall, the newly-named NJAC Player and Rookie of the Year, to have the season rest on his at-bat. Goodall ripped a two-run double to left field, scoring both Haynes and pinch runner Michael Schumacher to give the Lions a 4-3 lead. With all the momentum, the offense pressed forward. Chris Reeder was hit by a pitch, and Avery Epstein followed with a two-run single to make it 6-3. An error on an Oczkowski grounder allowed Reeder to score, making it 7-3.

Nico Santoro's two-RBI double in the bottom of the seventh propelled Lebanon Valley to a 5-4 victory over Alvernia in the winner-take-all game of the 2021 Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Semifinal round. The No. 2 Flying Dutchmen (21-10) advanced to their first MAC Championship since 2002, while the No. 3 Golden Wolves ended their season with a 20-12-1 overall mark. For the first time since 2002, LVC will play in the MAC Commonwealth Championship game. The No. 2 Dutchmen will battle No. 1 York in a best-of-three series, beginning next Saturday with a doubleheader in York. The if-necessary game is set to take place on Sunday at McGill Field. Check GoDutchmen.com next week for a preview of the Championship Series.

Stevens Institute of Technology hit a game-winning two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning of game one and DeSales University rallied down three runs in game two splitting games one and two of the MAC Freedom Semifinal series at Weiland Park on a rainy Sunday afternoon. These two teams will play a winner take all game three tomorrow at Stevens with game time set for 6:00 pm. The winner advances to the MAC Freedom Championship three-game series set for next weekend vs. Misericordia University who defeated Arcadia University, 2-0, in the other MAC Freedom semifinal on Saturday.

After forcing the rubber-match by winning their first playoff game since 2002, the Diamond Royals traveled back to Ashland on Sunday to try to extend their season and move on in the ODAC Tournament. A daunting task lay in front of them with the nationally-ranked Yellow Jackets standing in the way, but behind a complete game on the mound from Gage Riddick and clutch offensive performances, EMU defeated the Yellow Jackets 7-4, taking the best-of-three series to move on to the ODAC Semifinals.

Susquehanna University ended the regular season by winning two of their last three games, including picking up a 3-2 Landmark Conference victory on the road over Drew University (0-17, 0-17 LC). The second game of Sunday's doubleheader was called in the top of the fifth inning with Susquehanna (9-15, 9-12 LC) leading 13-2. The game was four outs short of being official and therefore, none of the statistics from the second game do not count. The River Hawks, who clinched the No. 6 seed in the 2021 Landmark Baseball Championship with Saturday's split at Juniata College, will host seventh-seeded Drew on Tuesday, May 11, in a single-elimination play-in game at Harold Bollinger Field in Selinsgrove.

Senior Joe Serbiak became the Warriors' single-season strikeout leader with 69 as Wisconsin Lutheran College closed its 2021 season with a split against Concordia Wisconsin on Senior Day. WLC won 3-2 in game one before falling 5-1 in the second game on Sunday at Neumann Family Baseball Field. Wisconsin Lutheran, which finished one game back of the NACC North Tournament, honored its seven seniors during a pregame ceremony.

Millikin swept a doubleheader from Carthage College at the Workman Family Baseball Field in Decatur and clinched third place in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season standings. The Big Blue's 4-1 and 6-2 wins give Millikin a 17-12 record in the conference and a 24-13 overall mark. In game one Millikin a single run in the third and three runs in the third, which was more than enough support for starting and winning pitcher Tanner Coleman. Coleman threw a complete game allowing six hits and one run in the ninth inning while striking out eight. Game two was a pitchers' duel for the first five innings between Millikin starter Jared Buzan and Carthage starter Troy Siranovic. Buzan allowed one hit in five innings recording 12 strikeouts. Siranovic threw six innings allowing three hits and two runs keeping the Big Blue off the scoreboard until the seventh inning.

Having its five-run lead erased, Bethel University battled back in the eight with a pair of runs taking an 8-6 victory over Augsburg Sunday afternoon at Hargis Park. The Royals picked up their 20th win of the season moving to 20-15 overall and closing out MIAC play at 14-11. Matthew Carlsen tallied four of the Royals nine hits from the leadoff spot while Justin Winterfeldt tallied four RBIs.

It was two low scoring affairs, as the University of Rochester closed the regular season with a Liberty League doubleheader sweep over Ithaca College on Sunday afternoon at Towers Field. UR took game one 2-1 and hung on for a 3-2 victory in game two. Rochester earned its third straight Liberty League regular season Liberty League title, finishing with a 16-2 conference mark. Rochester is 22-8 overall. The losses bumped Ithaca to 16-11-1 overall and 11-6-1 in the conference. Rochester as the top seed in the conference will host a Wednesday first round Liberty League tournament game against Clarkson who finished as the number four seed after the conclusion of Sunday's league slate. This years conference tournament is a single-elimination four-team bracket with the winners from Wednesday's semifinals facing one another for the conference crown on Saturday at the highest remaining seed. The other semifinal is number three Ithaca playing at second seeded Union.

Senior Hunter Barber struck out nine over a nine-inning complete game to pitch St. Olaf College to a 3-1 win and a series victory over Saint John's University on Sunday afternoon at Becker Park. After giving up an unearned run in the first inning, Barber shut Saint John's (27-10, 16-9 MIAC) down the rest of the way, including stranding a pair of runners in scoring position with his ninth strikeout of the game for the final out to seal the win for St. Olaf (12-7, 5-6 MIAC). The nine-inning complete game was the first of the senior's career and his nine strikeouts were a career-high total. Offensively, the Oles were limited to six hits but generated three runs in the first three innings to give Barber a lead he would protect the rest of the way. Senior TJ Rogers and first year Sam Lavin had two hits apiece and Rogers scored a pair of runs.

SUNY Poly earned a key split with SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday in North Atlantic Conference play. The Wildcats fell to the Tigers in game one on an extra-innings walk-off homerun 5-3. Poly would bounce back in a big way, winning game two 12-7 thanks in part to some hot bats and an aggressive offensive approach. The Wildcats are now 9-10 this season with an 8-7 NAC record. Cobleskill's Devin Lewis earned the win on the mound. He threw 3.1 innings in relief with four strikeouts. Ci'an Kenny threw six innings for the Wildcats and earned the win. He had two strikeouts. The win puts his season record at 2-1. SUNY Poly had a season-high seven stolen bases in game two on eight stolen base attempts.

Pacific Lutheran closed out the regular season in style on Sunday, earning a doubleheader sweep of Linfield University. The Northwest Conference Tournament bound Lutes rallied for the 12-5 win in the opener before getting a complete game effort from Jonathan Cohen in a 5-0 shutout in the nightcap. Piling on 10 runs over the final three innings was more than enough to take the opening game of the day 12-5. PLU continued where it left off in game two with Haworth belting a two-run home run in the top of the first. Sean Kauffman made it 4-0 with a single in the fourth inning, scoring two before a Schmitz single in the sixth scored Kauffman for a 5-0 advantage.
