THE SKINNY
McDaniel posted three four-run innings, defeating Framingham State 17-8 at the Ripken Spring Break Experience in Myrtle Beach.

THE LEADERS
• Shane Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights) led the Green Terror with a 6-for-6 day, hitting for the cycle in the process. He also scored six runs and had four RBIs.
• Joey Hubinger (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) added a 5-for-5 day from the No. 2 spot in the line. He scored four runs and had three RBIs.

FOR THE FOES
• Robert Johnston led the Rams with three hits and three RBIs.
• Ryan Boyle also had a three-hit day.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• A two-out Ryan Boyle home run staked Framingham to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
• Shane Daly responded right away in the bottom of the frame with a leadoff home run. After Joey Hubinger walked, Tyler Yohn (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) singled to put runners at the corners. After Yohn stole second with one out, Billy Wheatley (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) singled home both runners for a 3-1 lead. A two-our T.J. McGuire (Blue Point, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) single to left scored Wheatley for a 4-1 lead.
• A Chris Iannetti two-out triple scored Lucas Basile before he came home on a Robert Johnston single to make it 4-3.
• Daly tripled to start the second then scored on a wild pitch for a 5-3 edge.
• After Stephen Burbank homered with one out to tie the game in the top of the third, Connor Uhrig (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) doubled, moved to third on a passed ball and scored on a McGuire single. After a Connor Ward (Woolrich, N.J./Kingsway Regional) walk, Daly singled to score McGuire. Hubinger followed with a double before a Yohn sacrifice fly made it 9-5.
• An Iannetta single, stolen base, wild pitch, and Johnston single made it 9-6 in the fourth.
• Daly added a second home run to lead off the fifth before Hubinger singled and scored on an Austin Goudeaux (Elkton, Md./Bohemia Manor) sacrifice fly for an 11-6 advantage.
• A Daly infield single, passed ball, and Hubinger single coupled with a Wheatley sacrifice fly made it 13-7 after seven innings.
• Three walks and a single made it 13-8 in the top of the eighth before Daly doubled home McGuire with one out in the bottom of the frame to complete his cycle. After he stole third, Hubinger singled him home. Yohn, Goudeaux, and Wheatley each followed with singles for the final margin.

THE INSIDE STORY
