No. 24 Kean used timely hitting, solid pitching and key defensive grabs to pull past FDU-Florham, 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon. The win closes out the Cougars' home stand with a 9-0 record to start the season. Their nine straight wins to start the season is the best start known in program history.

Ryan Murphy drove in four runs and Tyler Cannon went 3-for-5 to pace No. 11 Rowan (1-0) to a 10-4 win over Swarthmore (2-3) in the Profs' season opener. Starter Jason O'Neill threw four innings to earn his first career win in his first-ever start, in a game which lasted just eight innings due to darkness. Murphy went 2-for-4 with four RBI, driving in three runs with singles and another on a sacrifice fly. Cannon, making his debut as a Prof after transferring from Iona, had three hits and scored three runs in the victory. Rowan also got a two-run homer from left fielder Ryan Mostrangeli to get the 2022 season underway.

Loras (3-0) made the short trek to Iowa City on Tuesday night to take on a Big Ten opponent in the University of Iowa Hawkeyes (4-3). A two-run third inning proved to be a decision-maker against the NCAA Division I Hawkeyes as the Duhawks earned their first-ever win,by the score 3-1 over the Hawkeyes in the third meeting between the two teams since 2017. At the plate, Loras collected seven runs in the game, led by Dakota Church who went 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring a pair of runs. Head coach Carl Tebon turned to Davis Pasco to make the start on the mound, seeing the junior throw 6.2 innings without allowing a run on five hits while striking out three before Peters closed out the game. Peters put in 2.1 innings of work on the mound, allowing one run on four hits with three strikeouts to earn his first save of the season.

Christopher Newport put ten runs across and the pitching staff struck out 15 batters in a 10-6 win over Hanover as the Captains (6-4) opened up a three-game stretch at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The annual spring break trip opened with Conner Clark and Jonathan Fisher ripping seven hits combined. After becoming just the seventh player to reach 200 hits in program history last weekend, Clark wasted little time adding to that total with another four-hit day on Tuesday. Leading off for the Captains, Clark posted the 64th multi-hit game of his career while also stealing three bases and scoring twice. At the other end of the lineup, Jonathan Fisher snagged his second multi-hit performance of the year by going 3-for-4 while hitting in front of Clark. Fisher scored three times and drove in a run as CNU pulled ahead 8-3 after six innings and held on for a 10-6 win.

Saint John's (Minn.) started the 2022 season with a doubleheader sweep of Wisconsin-Superior, 8-1 and 6-4, on Tuesday, March 1, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Johnnies (2-0 overall) clubbed five home runs, batted .500 (12-for-24) with two outs, .556 (5-for-9) with runners in scoring position and recorded 10 RBI with two outs in the two games. SJU broken open a scoreless game one with five, two-out runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and overcame a 4-3 deficit with three runs in the top of the seventh inning in game two.

Moravian captured a 7-4 win over the University of Dubuque at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational in a game played at Northeast Regional Park Tuesday morning. The Greyhounds had nine hits in the game with Derek Holmes going 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs. He now has three career home runs for Moravian. Junior Noah Ingalls earned his first career victory on the mound for the Hounds as he allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk to go along with five strikeouts in seven innings of action. Junior Andrew Connallon tossed the final two innings of the day.

No. 18 Shenandoah saw victory again Tuesday afternoon in a non-league game versus Mt. Aloysius College. Back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the sixth propelled the Hornets (7-1) to their 9-1 win over the Mounties (0-1). Sophomore Sam Horn hit his first collegiate home run giving Shenandoah a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth. Two innings later Horn, Kooper Anderson, Brody Pickette, and Frankie Ritter launched four straight home runs to give SU the 9-1 lead. SU starting pitcher Calvin Pastel (1-0) tossed five innings in his first start of the season and allowed one run on three hits. Pastel struck out six batters in his outing.

Between the sixth and seventh innings, Emerson crossed home for a combined seven runs to power the Lions to a 14-9 win over Framingham State on Tuesday afternoon to open the 2022 season. Thai Morgan led the offense going 4-for-5, with a double, two stolen bases & four runs scored. The winning pitcher, Chris Lowe, pitched 4.0 innings, gave up two hits, one run & eight strikeouts.

Neumann University defeated the University of Mary Washington 8-6 on Tuesday evening under the lights in Myrtle Beach. Shawn Vega, Ryan Lopez and Nick Glebocki each had two hits in the game. Zach Mullins made his collegiate debut on the mound and went 5.0 innings for the win. He allowed three runs on six hits and struck out three. Chris Balshuweit went 2.2 innings and struck out seven, allowed a run on three hits. Brennan Hatala pitched 0.1 innings Vic Mejia got his second straight save.

Wilmington dug itself a 5-1 hole in its home-opener, but battled back to win a 6-5 game in dramatic fashion over Bluffton University at Tewksbury-Delaney Field on Tuesday afternoon. The game went into the ninth tied 5-5. Jesse Reliford came in to pitch in the frame and stranded a single with a strikeout looking. In the bottom of the ninth, the script flipped as it was Wilmington who loaded the bases with no outs. A foul out and strikeout looking followed, however, and Bluffton was one out away from forcing extra innings. Tyler Shaneyfelt had other ideas, and after almost getting caught in a pickle, the sophomore beat out the throw to home for the walk-off steal.

The Greensboro Pride drove across town to face the Quakers of Guilford College for an afternoon game, and came away with a 20-15 win. Greensboro jumped all over Guilford, scoring nine runs in the first frame. Guilford would tie the game after five runs on five hits in the sixth inning. Greensboro answered again in the 7th as Cam Watts drilled a single through the left side of the infield to score two runners. Braxton Rupp put the game out of reach with a 3-RBI double to left that made the score 19-13 after 7 innings. The Pride would hold on to win 20-15.

The Chapman Panthers pitched their way to a 6-1 victory over the Bridgewater Eagles on Tuesday, Mar. 1 at Hart Park. The Panthers were led by eight different pitchers, and while sophomore Hank Tobias earned the win, each arm kept the Eagles off the board. Chapman pitchers didn't allow a hit until the fourth inning, and that contributed to the lone Bridgewater run. With three runners on and two outs in a 3-1 game, it was a perfect time for Davis Mielwocki and his 13 RBI's to step to the plate. The first baseman smoked a liner down the left field line scoring all three runs, sealing the win for the Panthers.

Wartburg earned a dominant 13-0 team win over Saint Vincent at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. The Knights are now 2-2 overall and have won back-to-back games. Dreyton LaVeine earned the win on the mound and pitched a complete game shutout in his first start of the season. The sophomore struck out eight today and only allowed one hit in seven innings pitched. LaVeine struck out the last two batters in the bottom of the seventh to close out a 13-0 victory. Zach Walton finished the contest three for four with a homerun and a triple that resulted in a team-leading six RBI's. Zach Wesolowski finished the game going 4-for-4 with one walk and one run batted in for the Knights.

Recent weather forced Gwynedd Mercy's game versus the University of Valley Forge (0-5) to playable grounds at James Ramp Memorial Recreation Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There, Gwynedd Mercy (3-3) grabbed an early lead with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, 3-0. The Griffins added tallies in the second (4-0), fourth (5-0), fifth (6-0), before adding plenty of cushion for a strong start from sophomore Frank Ebling with a run-scoring hits from senior shortstop Rob Bailey and senior catch T.J. Brasier in the sixth inning; 9-0. The Patriots put a run on the board in the seventh inning, 9-1, but a rally was never in sight as the Gwynedd Mercy University bullpen held firm in an eventual 13-1 final.

Calvin used a 19-hit attack to claim an 11-4 victory over Grove City College Tuesday afternoon. Junior Carson Warners went 5-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and two runs batted in to lead the Knight charge. Freshman pitcher Matt Reynolds got the start and was stellar, striking out eight batters in six innings of work. "Great hitting and great pitching today," said Calvin head baseball coach Kevin Van Duyn. "It was a real team effort and it feels good to get another win. We have a day to rest and then it's back at it for a busy final stretch of the week."

York (Pa.) opened the 2022 season with an 8-4 victory at Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday evening. York improves to 8-9 all-time against Rutgers-Camden and beat the Scarlet Raptors for the first time in Camden since May 3, 1989 when the Spartans squeaked out a 10-9 victory in the season finale. Jack Barry led York with three hits in a 3-for-5 performance and his two RBI moved him into sole possession of fifth-place on York's all-time list with 143. Austin Denlinger led the team in extra-base hits with a pair of doubles.

Stevenson junior Kevin Carricato smacked two home runs to plate four RBIs as Stevenson (2-7-1) defeated Lancaster Bible (0-1) by a score of 6-8 Tuesday afternoon at Sugar Field. The win ended a four-game losing streak for the Mustangs. Stevenson used timely hitting and a strong performance from starting pitcher Brady Power to open a 6-0 advantage through the first three innings. Kevin Carricato went 3-4 at the plate, adding two homeruns and tallying four RBIs to lead the Mustangs in each category this season. Brady Power picked up his first victory of the season, striking out seven and allowing four runs on four hits in his 4.0 innings of work. Jackson Mayo picked up his first-career save in his 10th career appearance.

Delaware Valley got four stellar innings from starter Dalton Moore and four hitless innings in relief from Ethan Saxe, as the Aggies opened their season with a 6-2 win at Immaculata. In his first start with DelVal, Dalton Moore threw four innings allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out one. Ethan Saxe earned the win in relief, firing four hitless innings while allowing two walks and striking out four. First-year Gage Ambruster went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored from the lead-off spot. Timmy Lallis had two hits in four at-bats with two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. The win was the first in the career of first-year head coach Kyle Lindsay. he game remained 6-2 after eight innings when the game was called due to darkness.

With two outs in the top of the 10th inning, junior second baseman Trey Haley delivered a two-run go-ahead single to give Case Western Reserve a 6-4 win over Mount Union on a cold and rainy Tuesday afternoon in Alliance, Ohio at Rafeld-Rogers Field. The Spartans improve to 3-0 on the season, while the Purple Raiders drop to 0-3. Junior left fielder Kevin Mackenzie walked, junior catcher Jack Anderson followed with a single, and senior center fielder Cole Jarrett was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Case Western Reserve in the top of the 10th inning to set up Haley's heroics. Sophomore third baseman/reliever Zack Carinci closed the door in the bottom of the 10th by striking out the side in order to record his first save of the season.

Waynesburg faced Concordia-Morehead for its third game of its trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. The Yellow Jackets logged their first victory of the spring by handling the Cobbers 10-1. The win was also the first for new Waynesburg (1-2) head coach Perry Cunningham. The Jackets scored all the runs they needed with four in the top of the first inning. The Jackets' biggest offensive output of the young season was more than enough support for senior Corey Fischer, who was outstanding in his first start of the season on the mound. Fischer allowed one run on just two hits and two walks, while striking out three. Sophomore Justin Clevenger and Aiden Williams combined for 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.

Mason Pearcy drove in the winning run with one out in the bottom of the ninth to send Oglethorpe to a 3-2 victory over Mississippi University for Women Tuesday in a neutral nonconference tilt in Alabama. The win was the second in a row and third in the last four games for the Stormy Petrels. Pearcy's game-winning hit drove in Harrison Hall who led the inning off with a walk, then moved to second on Matthew Gill's bunt single. Three Stormy Petrels were in the multihit category in the win. Carter Guarino went 2-for-3 with a run, Will Arnold went 2-for-4, and Pearcy went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Andrew Noack earned the win, his second in as many decisions, with a relief effort that saw him go the final 1.2 innings scoreless. Noack entered the game with two on and one out before helping the Petrels escape the jam with only one run.
