GORHAM, Maine – Seniors Joshua Joy (Smithfield, Maine/Messalonskee) and James Sinclair (Portland, Maine/Deering) each spun gems and sophomore Cam Seymour (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) drove in five runs over two games to lead the University of Southern Maine Huskies to a Little East Conference doubleheader sweep of the Keene State College Owls Saturday afternoon at Ed Flaherty Field.

  • Keene cut the lead to 5-2 scoring a run in the top of the fourth and fifth. KSC's Eli Oliver had a sacrifice fly RBI to deep center for the Owls first run of the game. Oliver's RBI scored Joe Barter who led off the inning with a single to center field.
  • In the fifth, Josh Beayon had an RBI single up the middle scoring Wyatt Daft. Daft led off the inning with a walk for KSC and moved to second on a stolen base to put himself in scoring position.
  • With the lead cut to three, Sinclair turned in strong performances in sixth, seventh and eighth. Sinclair retired the Owls in order in the top of the sixth, and then worked around an infield single in the seventh. In the eighth, Sinclair sat KSC in order on a ground out, strikeout and a pop up.
