Keuka College earned an Empire 8 Conference split with Elmira College on Monday in a doubleheader played at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua. Keuka College dropped the opener to Elmira 4-3 but rallied in the nine-inning nightcap 12-6.

Three UW-Stevens Point pitchers combined for two one-hit shutouts as the No. 25 Pointers (13-2, 5-1) completed the series sweep of Finlandia (3-15, 0-8). UWSP won game one, 5-0, and game two, 11-0 in seven innings. Casey Pickering nearly tossed a complete game no-hitter in game one. He gave up one hit, coming with two outs in the ninth. In game two, JD Schultz allowed one hit over 6.0 innings and Jacob Meinholz pitched a hitless seventh. The trio combined for 14 strikeouts on the day. Matt Baumann and Payton Nelson each had three hits on the day Nelson drove in three runs. Aaron Simmons clubbed UWSP's only home run of the day, a two-run shot in game two. Quin Henwood and Anthony Tomczak each had a two-hit game on the day. Simmons, Bradley Comer, Lucas Luedtke and Jakob Boos also hit safely in both games.

With great pitching and clutch defense, Eureka held off Spalding 2-1 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Monday at Henry Sand Field. It was the Red Devils' first win over the Golden Eagles since 2014, and it came after the team dropped two tough ones against Spalding on Sunday. "It's a huge bounce-back win for us," said sophomore starting pitcher Ryan Bredeson. "We knew we could beat them; we just had to clean up some defensive stuff a little bit, which we did today. It's just a huge win for the team, and we hope to keep it going." The Red Devils got it done by protecting a slim lead for the entire game. The home team took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Spalding scored an unearned run in the fourth, and had plenty of chances to respond, but the maroon and gold always found a way to get out of trouble, stranding 14 Golden Eagles on the game. Junior pitcher Parker Brodine took over for Bredeson in the seventh inning and threw three hitless innings, ultimately closing the door on the Golden Eagles with an emphatic strikeout for the last out of the game.

Junior Jon Tessier threw a 118-pitch complete game to propel Eastern Nazarene College to its first-ever win over No. 18 Tufts, a 7-1 triumph on the road Monday afternoon. The victory also marked the first win over a nationally-ranked team in school history. The Lions improve to 12-12 on the season with the victory while the Jumbos slip to 14-3 overall. Hernhy Lara notched a team-high two hits and added one run scored. Tyler Bean and Frank Landeiro each finished with one base knock, two RBIs, and one run scored. Shane McNamara and Steven Pesce chipped in with one hit and one RBI apiece.

Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep in as many
days with a pair of decisive wins over visiting Geneva
College on a chilly day at Bearcat Ballfield. In the
opener, the Bearcats (9-8, 5-2 PAC) broke open a
tight ballgame with a nine-run fifth inning en route to
a 12-0 win, while in the nightcap, Jeremy Kruezweiser
threw a complete-game gem in SVC's 6-1 win.

Moravian University posted a 5-0 shutout in non-conference action at Kean University Monday afternoon as senior Eddie Olsen and junior Garrison Koch combined on a six-hitter. Moravian had eight hits on the afternoon with Chris Pow going 3-for-5 with a double. Derek Holmes was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Olsen made the start on the mound and scattered six hits and three walks in 6.1 innings of action to go along with a pair of strikeouts as he improved to 2-2 on the year. Koch posted two strikeouts in the final 2.2 innings of the contest. The Hounds' defense made five outstanding plays with Matt Madigan robbing three hits in center field.

Cortland took a 5-0 lead after two innings the nationally sixth-ranked Red Dragons held on to defeat visiting Fredonia, 5-3, in the final game of a three-game SUNYAC series. Zack Durant earned the win for Cortland to improve to 4-0 on the season. He allowed only an infield single and a walk and struck out four in four and a third scoreless innings. Durant was pulled one out into the fifth due to a predetermined pitch count and was awarded the victory. Andrew Michalski finished 2-for-2 with two walks and Antonio Pragana went 2-for-5 with two doubles for Cortland.

Freshmen Ethan Spears and Sam Harrison combined for six hits and seven RBIs on Monday to lead the Ohio Northern to a 13-3 win over Oberlin at Dill Field. The Polar Bears improve to 11-10 overall and have won six of their past seven games. The loss drops the Yeomen to 5-11. Spears spearheaded an Ohio Northern offense that notched 11 hits in the game, as he finished with a career-high three hits and five RBIs. He had a two-run home run in the sixth inning, an RBI triple in the seventh and a two-run inside-the-park homer in the ninth. Harrison added a trio of singles, including RBI hits in the second and seventh frames. The pitching combination of sophomore Hayden Heche and junior Austin Mathews held the Yeomen to one run on five hits and two walks over the first seven innings.

Illinois College Blueboys wrapped up their series against the Ripon College Red Hawks with a win on Monday with a final of 8-4. Bailey Reed got the Blueboys going early with a home run to left field bringing in runs by James Marcinkowski and Tyler Blum. Marcinkowski earned a homerun of his own in the top of the third bringing in another run to make the score 5-1. Ripon was able to put together an impressive fourth inning to cut the Blueboys lead to just one run with the score 5-4. The Blueboys put up three more runs to secure the win over the Red Hawks in the final innings. Dawson Driskill earned the win at the mound pitching 1.0 innings.

Manhattanville College plated 14 runs in the opener to split Monday's Skyline Conference doubleheader with SUNY Maritime. While the Valiants were unable to hold the lead in the second game, unable to bounce back from a sixth inning grand slam, the split moves the Valiants' record to 9-10 overall and 6-4 in conference play. For the fifth time this season, the Valiants hung 14 on the board as a nine run fifth inning opened the floodgates and allowed Manhattanville to take the victory in the opener. The Valiants sent 13 men to the plate in the fifth, scoring nine runs on eight hits and three errors to firmly pull away. The Valiants struck first, but a five-run sixth inning for the Privateers shifted the tide of the backend of the doubleheader for the visitors.

Juan Hurtado pitched six innings of four-hit ball, allowing just one unearned, and Salem State held off a late Worcestet State rally to win the final game of their three-game Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference series, 7-6 on Monday afternoon at Lyons Diamond. The Vikings (10-7, 2-1 MASCAC) had split their doubleheader with the Lancers (7-9, 1-2 MASCAC) over the weekend. The Vikings had 12 hits in the game, including multi-hit days by Jake Boucher, Zach Piroh, Edward Field, Bobby Jellison and Tim Catalano. Anthony Iamarone and first baseman Sean Devin each had three hits for the Lancers, with Iamarone driving in a pair of runs on a single to left field with two outs during the ninth inning rally.

No. 10 ranked UW-Whitewater finished 1-1 in a doubleheader Monday against UW-Oshkosh at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium. The Warhawks (12-5 overall, 4-2 WIAC) topped the Titans 8-6 in the opener before falling 9-0 in Game 2. In the opener, UW-Whitewater erased a 4-0 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and broke a 6-6 tie with two runs in the bottom of the seventh. In the nightcap, UW-Whitewater totaled seven hits but left six runners on base in the contest, including three in the third inning and two more in the fourth.

Senior Ryan Finegan hit a three-run home run as Stevens Institute of Technology used a five-run seventh inning to rally past King's College 13-9 in a MAC Freedom matchup at Dobbelaar Field. A wild affair, the teams combined for 22 runs on 22 hits. Junior Ben Tobio had two hits and graduate student Hunter Silvernail drove in a pair for the Ducks, who won their fifth straight to move to 19-7 on the year. Stevens swept the three-game series with King's to move to 7-2 in league play. Andrew Steidle homered and drove in three as part of a five-hit evening for the Monarchs, who dropped to 7-11 on the year and to 1-8 in league play. King's has dropped three straight.

The Falcons snapped their six-game losing streak on Monday with a pair of victories over Wisconsin Lutheran. The Blue and White improve to 8-10 and to 2-2 in the NACC with the 8-7 and 10-0 victories over Wisconsin Lutheran. The Warriors threw the first punch on Monday with a pair of runs in the first inning. The Falcons fought back in the bottom half of the sixth inning with three runs. Senior Sam Beers broke the tie with a single through the left side of the infield to score Johannes Haakenson and Brandon Niedfeldt. The Warrior cut the deficit to 6-5 with a run in the seventh inning but Beers struck again in the seventh inning with another single through the left side of the infield that crossed junior Josh Bentley across home plate. The birds cruised in game two to a seven-inning victory. Senior Ryan Green threw the complete game on the mound and earned the victory without giving up a run or walk and four strikeouts. Josh Bentley led the game with four of the 13 CUW hits in game two.

Sophomore center fielder Cameron Santerre dazzled in both the field and at the plate as the Rhode Island College cruised by Amherst, 14-1, at Pontarelli Field on Monday afternoon. RIC struck for four runs in the first inning and saw the lead ballooning to 9-0 after Santerre smoked a ball into right field and tripled in a run. The hosts held a 13-0 advantage before the Mammoths finally got on the scoreboard in the seventh inning. RIC freshman pitcher Harrison Mansfield tossed five innings of shutout ball, striking out seven and earning his second win (2-0) in the process. Five other Anchormen came in to pitch over the final four innings.

St. Norbert College split a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheader for the second consecutive day, winning 11-1 and dropping a 5-3 decision against Concordia University Chicago at CUC Field. St. Norbert wasted little time taking control of the opener. St. Norbert would get two more runs in the seventh thanks to a pair of Concordia errors and go on to end the game on the 10-run mercy rule. Trevor Reinhardt went the distance on the mound for the complete-game win, allowing five hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. In the nightcap, the Green Knights tied the game with two runs in the eighth inning on an Caden Uhlenbrauck single. Concordia Chicago would pull ahead in the bottom of the inning on a two-out, two-run home run by Garry Maynard.

Joey Wright was a triple short of the cycle as the Mighty Macs secured a series sweep over the Marymount Saints in their 14-10 victory on Monday. The Mighty Macs, now on an 11-game winning streak, improve to a 16-4 record overall with a 6-0 record in Atlantic East play on the season. The Mighty Macs took a lead in a hurry against the Saints, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first. The Saints quickly responded in the top of the second matching the Macs' run production with a six-run inning to tie the game at 6-6. In the top of the seventh, Marymount scored one run to cut into Immaculata's lead, making it an 11-9 ballgame. Marymount then came to within one run of the Macs in the 8th inning in an 11-10 ballgame. The Mighty Macs then reclaimed a strong lead in the bottom half of the inning and went on to win.

The St. John Fisher College completed its season
sweep, 8-5 and 21-0, of Houghton College on Monday
as the Cardinals took both ends of an Empire 8
doubleheader at Dugan Yard.  With the wins, Fisher
improved to 11-9 and 4-0 in the conference standings
while the Highlanders fell to 7-14, 0-4, respectively.

No. 11 Salisbury University won its sixth straight game, brushing aside the Neumann Knights, 8-2, on Monday afternoon at Sea Gull Baseball Stadium. Luke Weddell sparked the Sea Gulls at the plate from the nine-hole, going 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and an RBI. Kavi Caster finished 1-for-3 with an RBI triple and two runs scored, plus a stolen base. Jackson Balzan (5-1) earned his fifth straight victory with 5.2 strong innings, giving up one run on three hits with four walks and six strikeouts on 86 pitches. Balzan has given up just two runs over 34.2 innings (0.52 ERA) during his five-start winning streak. Brandon Epstein relieved Balzan in the sixth and stranded the bases loaded. He also worked an effective seventh, while Justin McDermott and Corey Burton finished off a scoreless eighth and ninth, respectively.

First-years Adam Wein and Kolby Mordecki had strong days to power Plattsburgh State baseball to their ninth win of the season, as they defeated SUNY Poly 14-3 on Monday afternoon. Wein went 4-4 with four runs scored and three RBIs and Mordecki went five innings, allowing zero earned runs and striking out four. Mordecki picked up his second win with five strong innings as the first-year allowed only four hits and walked just one. He matched his career high for innings pitched, after he threw five strong against Maine Presque-Isle on the team's Florida trip.

Marywood University and Gwynedd Mercy University split a pair of Atlantic East Conference games to open a three games series Monday afternoon. The Griffins took a tight opener 4-2 before Marywood dominated the nightcap, 9-2. The Griffins plated two in the sixth, one on an unearned run after an error and one on a sac fly from Noah Andress, to take a 3-2 lead. Gwynedd Mercy would tack on an insurance run in the seventh on an RBI single to center from Nick Price. Frank Ebling (3-1) got the win for Gwynedd Mercy. Ebling struck out seven over 5.2 innings. Mitchell Bramsway picked up his first save of the year, striking out the potential tying run. In the nightcap, after the Griffins took a 1-0 lead Marywood scored nine straight runs to seal the victory. Kyle Morin finished the nightcap 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Jake Schuster was 2-for-3 and crossed the plate three times as well. Marywood was actually out-hit 11-6 in the win but took advantage of five Gwynedd Mercy errors.

Serving as the away team on its home field, Utica University swept the Russell Sage College Gators on Monday evening. Utica took game one 6-3 in extra frames before the bats came alive for a 14-2 win in game two. Down to their last out with no runners on base in the 7th and down 3-2, Joe Crossley began a two-out rally with a double to left. Crossley advanced to third base on a wild pitch before John Son was hit by a pitch, bringing up Joe Battista with runners on the corners and two away. Battista drove the ball to left, bringing home Crossley to tie the game. Utica was retired in the 7th with the game knotted before setting Sage down to enter extras. With a man on second and one out, Ryan Cardone was called upon to pinch hit. On one of the first pitches he saw, Cardone got behind a fast ball and sent it over the left field fence for a two-run blast to give Utica its first lead since the 2nd inning. The Pioneers scored one more in the 8th inning before Brendan May came on to close the game and give the team a comeback win. Battista drove home the game's first run yet again in the top of the 1st inning, this time scoring Son on a single back up the middle. Utica starter Tyler Catalfamo kept the lead intact until the bottom of the 2nd frame when the Gators scored two runs to take an early 2-1 lead. Over the next five innings, however, the Pioneers would outscore Sage 13-0 and earn a sweep of Sage.
