Wilmington College snapped a 23-game losing skid to Heidelberg University on Saturday, sweeping a twinbill winning game one 4-0 and taking the nightcap 17-3 in seven innings.

They were picked eighth in the preseason poll, but now the No. 2-seeded Linfield Wildcats find themselves in the driver's seat with a 5-2 win over the top-seeded and host Pacific Boxers Saturday afternoon at Chuck Bafaro Stadium. Linfield is one win away from a Northwest Conference Tournament championship and an automatic berth to the NCAA regionals. The last time the Wildcats won the NWC Tourney was in 2017. Pacific rebounded with a come-from-behind 4-3 victory in the late afternoon elimination game against Pacific Lutheran to earn a spot in tomorrow's championship bout. The Boxers will meet Linfield in the championship round of the Northwest Conference Postseason Tournament, the winner earning the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Pacific Lutheran eliminated George Fox in the first game of the day, winning 2-0.

Keystone exploded for a combined 50 hits with 11 home runs in a doubleheader sweep of Clarks Summit, 24-0, and 31-5, in Colonial States Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Lackawanna College Field. Junior Chris Hadsall had a 7-for-8 day to surpass 100 hits in his career. The third baseman hit three home runs in game No. 1, tying a then-program record for most homers in a game — set by Eric Groff in 2010. Graduate senior Adam Kelly fell a homer short of hitting for the cycle in the first game but saved it all for game No. 2 as he went yard four times to set a new single-game program record. With the wins, Keystone clinched a spot in next month's four-team CSAC Championships along with Wilson, Cairn and Saint Elizabeth. The Giants improved to 14-14 overall and 8-2 in the CSAC while CSU fell to 1-22, 1-9 CSAC.

Junior Trey Parker needed just 73 pitches and allowed only two hits in an eight-inning complete game win to lead Plymouth State University to a doubleheader split with Castleton University in a Little East Conference doubleheader at Parish Field on Saturday afternoon. Parker was masterful, slicing through the Spartans’ lineup with ease in game two. He retired the final 18 batters in a row after Castleton’s leadoff single in the third, and struck out the side in the fifth. Junior Nick Healey went 2-for-4 with a homer and double and classmate Griffin Crane had four hits, including a pair of doubles, as the offense pounded out 12 hits in the 10-8 victory. Castleton raced out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first of game one and never looked back.

Husson University continued to erupt on offense as they scored 39 runs in a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader sweep of the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon at the Harold Alfond Diamond. The Eagles (12-15, 4-1 NAC) carried over their offense from the Thomas series scoring four runs in the first inning en route to 19-0 victory in game one over UMPI (6-20, 3-4 NAC). Junior Austin Snow, freshman Tanner Evans, and sophomore Jackson Curtis each drove in three runs while Snow recorded three hits. In game two, the Eagles were held scoreless in the first inning but put up five on the scoreboard in the second inning and never looked back. Senior Nick Swift drove in four runs on three hits while junior Joshua Scott brought home three runs as the Eagles won game two, 20-5.

Allegheny rebounded from a game-one defeat to earn a split at Wooster in a North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader in Ohio. The Fighting Scots won game one 15-1 in seven innings, but the Gators rallied back for an 11-5 wimn in the nightcap. Multiple runs and Wooster were synonymous over a four-inning stretch in Saturday's opener. Michael Thomas turned on a Deasy pitch for a two-run dinger in the third, then upped his RBI haul to four with a two-run fourth-inning double. Junior first baseman Dane Camphausen put the exclamation point on the 14-run win with a moonshot grand slam in the fifth inning. The Gators started game two with a run in the first and never trailed. Wooster was able to tie the game on two occasions but could not break through to gram a lead.

Adrian College exploded for 28 runs in Saturday's game against Olivet College to take game on of the three game series. The Bulldogs scored in every inning except the sixth to come away with a 28-8 victory. The Bulldogs scored five runs in the first, four in the second, one in the third, and six in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings. The 28 runs for Adrian came up one run shy of tying a program record for most runs in a single game. The Bulldogs scored 29 runs against Tiffin University on March 26, 2000 to set the record. The only other time the Bulldogs finished a game with 28 runs was on February 28, 1999 in a nonconference game against Alma College in Fort Myers, Florida.

Nichols College swept Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader, 13-7 and 16-1, with Gordon College on Saturday afternoon at the Nichols Baseball Field. The Bison struck for eight runs in the eighth to turn a 7-4 deficit into a six-run win. Junior Will Kleinhenz’ RBI bunt single knotted the score at seven before a sac fly off the bat of freshman William Nath put NC ahead 8-7. Senior DJ Caron followed with a two-run single and sophomore Johnny Knox brought home two more on his single through the right side to make it 12-7. Sophomore Brennan Hyde finished the contest with three hits while Caron and Knox, along with graduate student Nathaniel Cormier, all had two hits. Senior Owen Sullivan fanned four in 2.1 innings of scoreless relief to record his first win of the season. In game two, Kleinhenz and junior Jack Ellis smashed second inning round trippers and Caron belted a three-run shot as the Bison (13-15-1, 5-7-1 CCC) pounded out 15 hits. Caron went 3-for-3 with three runs scored in the contest while Ellis, Cormier, Hyde, and sophomore Ben Jerome each picked up two hits. Sophomore Andrew Croteau plated three runs on a two-run double and an RBI groundout. Freshman Ben Weber scattered four hits and allowed one run in five innings to move to 3-1 on the season. He walked one and struck out four.

Eastern Nazarene College dropped a narrow 7-6 decision before collecting a 7-4 victory at New England College Saturday afternoon. The Lions progress to 17-15-1 on the season and 5-4-1 in the New England Collegiate Conference with the outcomes. The Pilgrims move to 15-12 overall and 5-3 in league action with the results. In game one, New England College earned a 7-6 walk-off victory. The Pilgrims were able to load the bases with no outs in the inning at the bottom of the seventh. Cooper Ribaudo beat out a fielder's choice, and the throw home was offline as Connor Morin leaped over the Lion's catcher to win the game. In the series finale, Eastern Nazarene bounced back to lock up a 7-4 victory.

Hood College's Joe Alexander tied the Blazers' single game strikeout record in the opener as the pitching staff struck out 24 Albright batters to sweep a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth doubleheader from the Lions 4-1 and 6-3. Alexander struck out 11 in a complete game win in game one. He allowed one run on three hits. The 11 strikeouts junior tied Kole Hearn's performance against Central Penn in 2015 for most strikeouts in a game for a Blazer. Three pitchers combined to strike out 13 hitters in game two. Jack Martin started game two for Hood, allowing one run on five hits in six innings of work. He struck out seven while only walking two, and received the win.

Behind a complete-game masterpiece from Vince Dolcemaschio, Oberlin College defeated the visiting Wabash College Little Giants 3-2 in game one and would then rally for seven runs in the bottom of the ninth in game two only to fall 15-12 in 10 innings. Dolcemaschio finished off the first complete-game victory of his career, throwing 71 strikes on 108 pitches. The sophomore from Los Angeles, California, carried a shutout into the ninth until Liam Patton poked a two-out two-run home run over the wall in right field. While the Yeomen and Little Giants raced through the lid-lifter in 1:53, it was a much different story in the nightcap as the outcome wasn't decided until 10 innings were completed and 3:40 were milked off the clock. The two foes combined for 29 hits, 27 runs, and used 12 pitchers.

MSOE hit the diamond for the first of two weekend doubleheaders with Saturday's opponent being Wisconsin Lutheran. The Raiders had no issue on the offensive end and put up a total of 29 runs in their two game sweep of the Warriors, 18-4 and 11-4. The MSOE (15-13, 10-4 NACC) bats were alive and well in the first game of their twin bill against Wisconsin Lutheran (8-18, 3-11 NACC). The Raiders plated a total of 18 runs off 19 hits and easily mercy ruled the Warriors 18-4. The big inning for the Red & White was the top of the third where they scored seven runs. Collin Truitt homered to drive in three of his six RBIs, Josh Beier tripled to bring in a pair, and Francis Ryan and Beier each scored on wild pitches. Game two featured four more runs from the WLC offense and a lot more from the Raiders. Three was the magic number for the Red & White as they scored that many in three different innings to easily grab command of the game.

USMMA split its Skyline Conference doubleheader with the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday afternoon. CMSV took Game 1 by a score of 2-0, while Game 2 featured a 6-5 Merchant Marine victory. The split of the twin-bill gave both the Mariners and Dolphins 19-14 overall records. Merchant Marine left the Bronx with a 10-4 in-conference mark, while Mount Saint Vincent ended the day 7-7 in Skyline play. Game 1 was a pitchers' duel between sophomore Tyler Reistetter and Humberto Vela. Reistetter made his fifth-straight start in a Game 1 of a conference doubleheader having thrown seven-inning complete games in each of his last three such starts. The Mariners' left-hander matched zeroes with the Dolphins' senior for the first three innings. Game 2 saw the second- and third-ranked offenses in the Skyline Conference go to work. The Dolphins' second-ranked offense and the Mariners' third-ranked offense squared off in a seesaw battle. Mount Saint Vincent opened the door for USMMA by allowing Zanetti to reach on an error. A passed ball and an advancing ground ball from Reistetter moved Zanetti to third with two away. In his largest at-bat of the season, junior Jared Chambers came through with a two-out RBI opposite field single to plate Zanetti and put Merchant Marine up 6-5. In line for the win after tossing a scoreless bottom of the eighth, senior Grant Corb retired Grisanti leading off the ninth and handed the ball to sophomore Tommy Payton for the final two outs.

Washington & Jefferson College slugged seven home runs as they swept Franciscan University of Steubenville Saturday in a Presidents' Athletic Conference road doubleheader. W&J used a seven-run fourth inning to take game one by a 10-1 score. The Presidents then used a 22-hit attack to earn the sweep with an 18-13 game two win.

Splitting a doubleheader with Concordia University-Texas, East Texas Baptist University won the series with a 4-0 win in the first game of the doubleheader. ETBU then fell in game two, 2-1, and now are 25-10 overall and 22-5 in the ASC. Sayers Collins received the win in game one recording eight strikeouts and allowing just three hits in the shutout win. Braden Karnes pitched eight of the nine innings for a no decision in game two recording four strikeouts on four hits. Brett Wagner led the team with three overall hits on the day. CTX had a walk off victory over ETBU in the final game in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Stockton University (15-19-1, 6-8 NJAC) won a doubleheader sweep over Montclair State (26-9, 11-3 NJAC) by scores of 11-10 in 11 innings, and 6-3 in the nightcap. Freshman Jordan Nitti led the offense on the day with seven hits and four runs scored. The first game turned into a wild affair as Stockton posted a late inning comeback. After a scoreless 10th inning, the Red Hawks plated two runs in their half of the inning to re-take the lead at 10-8. The Ospreys then walked off the game with three markers in the bottom of the frame. In the nightcap, Montclair posted two runs in the second inning against Stockton hurler Phil Santa Maria. The lefty settled down after that to give Stockton a chance to score runs while holding the Red Hawks in check.

The Penn State Altoona celebrated its two senior players during a doubleheader split with Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Hilbert College on Saturday afternoon at Stewart Athletic Field. Penn State Altoona (11-17, 3-7 AMCC), playing its first games on campus since March 21, picked up a 3-1, extra-innings win in game one. Hilbert (14-16, 6-6 AMCC) answered with a 7-2 victory in game two. The Lions got a great start on the mound from Kyle Glass and used a walk-off two-run home run from Garrett Alauzen to win the game in the bottom of the ninth. In game two, Penn State Altoona took another early lead but was unable to close things out, as Hilbert scored six runs in the final two innings to come back and deal the Lions a 7-2 defeat.

Jace Fetterman hit his first career grand slam in the eighth inning of game two to give Lebanon Valley College an 8-5 victory over visiting Alvernia University and a sweep of the Golden Wolves on Saturday at McGill Field. Shane Stossel hit two home runs in a 10-5 game one victory. The Dutchmen (22-13, 10-3 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board in the first inning and scored three times in the second and third to take a 7-1 lead. Alvernia (14-20-1, 7-4 MAC Commonwealth) cut into the lead with a three-run fifth. LVC responded with one run in the bottom of the inning and then two more in the seventh. Alvernia (14-21-1, 7-5 MAC Commonwealth) scored a run in the first on a bases-loaded hot-by-pitch. LVC (23-13, 11-3 MAC Commonwealth) scored the same way in the second to tie things up. The Golden Wolves took the lead with two runs in the sixth. The Dutchmen scored three in the seventh before Alvernia responded with two runs in the eighth to take a 5-4 lead. Fetterman cleared the bases with his sixth homer of the year in the bottom half to give LVC the lead for good.

Fifth-year senior Hudson Livesey had four hits and six runs batted in to lead Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to a doubleheader sweep of Vassar College, on Saturday afternoon at Robison Field at Karl Steffen Ballpark. With wins of 13-1 and 7-4, the Engineers improve to 12-13 overall (4-7 Liberty League), while the Brewers drop to 11-18 (3-10 Liberty League). Graduate student Chris Grome (4-1) picked up the victory on the hill, allowing one run on three hits over 7.0 innings. He struck out eight and did not walk a batter. Sam Brinster (1-2) took the loss for the Brewers, surrendering nine runs (4 earned) on seven hits over 4.0 innings of work. The nightcap saw both teams trade runs early in the contest. A bases-loaded walk got the Brewers on the board in the top of the first, before RPI answered with a four-run bottom half. Four scoreless frames followed until Vassar was able to scratch across two in the top of the seventh. Freshman Cameron Heuer was able to get out of the inning and seal the win by getting a 1-2-3 double play with the bases loaded and fly out.

Keuka College split the conference doubleheader between Houghton College. The Wolves took game on 5-4 and dropped the nightcap 14-3. The Highlanders added one in the sixth to shorten the Wolves lead. The Highlanders crossed home plate three times during their last at bats but the keuka starter, Spencer Brown, got a ground ball back at him to go home and Murphy threw to first to get the double play to end the game and take the win 5-4. In game two, the seventh inning would be the big inning for the Highlanders as they scored eight times during the inning to extend the lead 14-4. This would be enough for the Highlanders as they took game two 14-4.

DePauw's pitching tossed a pair of shutouts and allowed just six hits in a North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep of Hiram and the offense clubbed eight homers as the Tigers won by scores of 16-0 and 11-0 with both ending in the seventh inning with the run-rule. DePauw moved to 13-15 overall and 6-6 in the NCAC, while Hiram dropped to 10-18 overall and 2-10 in conference play. In the opener, Michael Vallone improved to 7-1 after striking out 11 and walking one in tossing a three-hit shutout. Jack Longar dropped to 0-1. DePauw carried the momentum into the nightcap. Joe Runnells improved to 1-3 after striking out six and scattering two hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Carthage College (9-21, 3-9 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) opened a three-game series with conference-opponent Elmhurst University (10-16, 3-8) on Saturday, April 23 by splitting a doubleheader at Augie Schmidt Field in Kenosha, Wis.  Carthage won the first game, 8-7, but Elmhurst took the nightcap, 10-7.  The Firebirds were originally scheduled to travel to Elmhurst, Ill., on Saturday, but the Bluejays' home facility, Butterfield Park, is underwater following several days of rain the Chicago-area.

DeSales and Misericordia clinched berths to the 2022 MAC Freedom Championship. Senior Ian Kacergis tossed a complete-game shutout leading DeSales University to a doubleheader sweep of King's, 10-0 and 7-1. Misericordia University picked up a pair of shutout conference wins over Stevens, Saturday afternoon at Tambur Field. MU took the opener, 1-0, and wrapped up the doubleheader with a 4-0 victory and clinched a spot in the MAC Freedom championships for the 12th straight year.

For the first time since 2018, New Jersey City University swept a two-game series against a New Jersey Athletic Conference competitor. Jersey City defeated the Roadrunners of Ramapo College in both games today, April 23, by final scores of 7-6 and 12-7, respectively. This was also the first time in program history that NJCU defeated Ramapo twice in one season. Leading the historic afternoon on the mound and in the box for the Green and Gold (11-22, 3-11 NJAC) was junior outfielder Josh Hernandez. The Florida native extended his on-base streak to 10 games, picked up his first two career saves, scored three times and knocked in a run. On the mound, the righthander finished both games with a combined 5.1 innings without allowing a run, while striking out three batters with a total of 104 total pitches. Also carrying the way on the bump was senior Paul Tannucilli and freshman Andre Dean, as both righthanders collected victories this afternoon.

John Jay split a doubleheader with Baruch on Saturday afternoon at Maimonides Park, handing the Bearcats their first CUNYAC loss of the season. The Bloodhounds took down first place Baruch, 6-4, in game two after losing the first game, 10-2. John Jay moves to 6-27 (4-6 CUNYAC) on the season, while the Bearcats go to 11-8 (9-1 CUNYAC) on the year. With the win, baruch clinches the CUNYAC regular season title. After a rough game one, the Bloodhounds bounced back in a big way in the second game. After giving up a run in the top of the first, John Jay rallied for five runs in the bottom of the second inning. Baruch chipped away at the lead, but Juan Maldonado came in to close things out for John Jay and earn the save.

It was a battle right until the end in both games of the doubleheader between the WPI baseball team and Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon.The Bears took game one of the day with an extra-innings affair that lasted 10 innings and saw Coast Guard come out on top 8-7. A two-run eighth inning was the deciding factor in a 3-2 victory for the Engineers. WPI (14-15, 4-9 NEWMAC) took the series from Coast Guard with the game three victory after winning Friday night's opener 3-0 in Worcester.

Penn State Abington clinched a postseason berth into next month's United East Conference Tournament after defeating Wells College, 16-4, on Saturday afternoon in the first of three conference games this weekend versus the Express. Abington gave starting pitcher, Greg Wiley (4-0), all the support he would need with a five-run third inning. McCarty's seventh inning home run extended his Division III lead to 21 home runs. Across all three divisions, McCarty ranks second for most home runs this season. He finished the game 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Today marked the ninth meeting between Abington and Wells since the start of the 2018 season. The Nittany Lions are 9-0 versus the Express in the all-time series.

The sun was setting fast and there was little daylight left to play baseball. So Kainan Bayn did something about it. The Hope College senior drew a bases-loaded walk to score the eventual winning run in Game 2 of a doubleheader. Hope rallied from down three runs to win 9-7 over host Albion College on Saturday. The Flying Dutchmen also won Game 1 by a score of 17-2 for a 10-game winning streak.

St. Joseph's University (L.I.) picked up a Skyline Conference sweep over SUNY Maritime on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles breezed by the Privateers 10-3 in game one before claiming a 14-9 victory in the nightcap. SCLI improves 15-8 on the season and sits atop the Skyline standings at 13-3 in conference play. Maritime falls to 19-10 overall, 10-6 Skyline. Three runs in each the top of the sixth and seventh put game one out of reach for the Privateers despite plating two in the bottom of the seventh. Three unearned runs in the top of the fifth ion game two put St. Joseph's back on top, 8-7, before a six-run sixth inning highlighted by a three-run dinger from Paul Gugliuzzo (2-for-6, 2R, 3 RBI) created some distance for the Golden Eagles, 14-7.

On a very windy afternoon at Mel Taube Field, Carleton College split an afternoon doubleheader against College of St. Scholastica. The Knights prevailed 4-3 in the opener but came up short, 5-1, in game two. "It was great to get back out on 'the Mel',"said Carleton head coach Aaron Rushing. "Our pitchers did a great job stepping up with a pair of great starts, and it was awesome for us to put away game one the way we did. We did a lot of things well in game two, but we have to tip our caps to St. Scholastica, as they out-executed us in the end. Looking forward to another opportunity to compete tomorrow." Carleton rookie Quinn Brannan went the distance in registering his first collegiate victory. He allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits with five strikeouts over 7.0 innings on the bump. The Knights' offense managed only one run on six hits against the Saints' southpaw TJ Martin. The Saints score five runs on 11 hits.

Sophomore Andrew Monda struck out a career-high nine batters in eight innings of work; the longest outing of his tenure. Junior Lucas Collet logged three RBI while rookie Michael Gardener brought in a pair to see St. Joseph's University Brooklyn earn a 7-3 triumph against Farmingdale State College in the second game of their Skyline doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. Mike Santoriello tossed a complete game and fanned four but it wasn't enough as the Bears (5-23, 3-11) were defeated by the Rams in game one (17-11, 9-5), 9-4. Chris Leary finished the day by batting 4-for-7 as he collected a pair of base knocks and scored a run in both ends of the twin bill.

Northern Vermont University-Lyndon went extra innings to defeat Thomas College, 5-4 (12 innings) in the opener of this afternoon's North Atlantic Conference doubleheader. The host Terriers rebounded for the no-hit shutout win, 2-0, in the nightcap. The split leaves the Hornets with an 8-20 overall record and a 4-4 mark in NAC play. The Terriers are 11-22 on the season and 6-6 in conference. TJ Santaw's solo home run leading off the seventh inning tied the game at 4-4, then a Dylan Wilson sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning scored Skyler Bushey with the winning run. Bushey also had a two-run home run and an RBKI double in the game while Santaw scored three of the five Hornet runs. Thomas pitcher Garrison Paillet was the story of the nightcap. He didn't allow a hit in the complete game shutout. The only Hornet base runners were Wilson and Jordan Cane (Merrimac, MA), who drew walks in the second and fifth innings respectively, and Bushey, who was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning.

Rahul Champaneri has experienced ups and downs through his return to the mound in 2022. But Saturday’s performance was certainly one to remember. After allowing two-plus earned runs in each of his last three starts, the left-hander paved the way to a 6-1 win on Saturday afternoon for UMHB (21-16, 14-13 ASC), who clinched an ASC Tournament berth in a series victory over Sul Ross State on the road. “It was definitely his best outing of the year,” UMHB head coach Mike Stawski said. “He pitched with confidence and toughness today. Every count was a pitcher’s count to him. He was never worried about falling behind because he knew he could execute a pitch to win the at bat.” He did that and more, striking out 11 batters over 8.1 innings, holding a powerful Lobo lineup to just one hit. The lone SRSU run came across as the result of a passed ball.

Freshman Christian Chambers hit a three-run home run in the second game, while senior Ethan Badin and sophomore Lucas Burnette each had two hits,to help Hampden-Sydney College split a non-conference baseball doubleheader at Emory & Henry College on Saturday afternoon in Emory. Junior Owen Tappy gained the pitching win in relief in the 10-3 nightcap, while junior Justin Woodall took the hard-luck mound setback in the 3-0 opener for the visiting Tigers (19-14) against the host Wasps (9-25).

Saint John's (Minn.) rode the heroics of another walk-off home run from senior catcher Ethan Roe to a convincing win in game two for a sweep of Macalester on Saturday, April 23, in Collegeville. Held to one hit through the first six innings and facing a 5-1 deficit, SJU (18-14, 10-4 MIAC) scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a 6-5 win in game one and invoked the 10-run rule with a 10-0 shutout in eight innings in the finale. Senior right fielder Soren Roe, who earned All-MIAC honors as a freshman at Macalester in 2019, went 3-for-3 with a home run, double and a career-high six RBI in game two. His three-run homer in the fifth inning was the team's 40th of the season, which set a new program record.

Penn State Berks picked up a crucial sweep of Gallaudet University in an United East doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Hintz Athletic Field. Berks won 16-3 in the opener, then had two comeback efforts in a 9-6 victory in the second game of the twinbill. In game one, the offense cruised early with nine runs in the first and seven more for all 16 of their runs. In game two, Gallaudet would take a lead (6-5) with three runs in the top of the eighth. In the bottom half, Trovinger doubled and Evans followed with a two-run shot over the fence in left for a 7-6 lead. Colin Amerine laced a single into the left center gap to score Kolbie Reeser and Kay to extend the lead to 9-6. Gramignano came on in the ninth to slam the door and earn his second save of the season. The right-hander struck out the first batter then gave up an infield single. The next batter hit into a 5-4-3 double play to give the Nittany Lions the win.

Brevard College (18-15, 7-9 USAS) dominated both games of a USA South Conference doubleheader with two wins, 11-4 and 14-2, over USA South Conference foe Berea (4-29, 1-13 USAS) on Saturday at Gil Coan Field. The Tornados outscored the Mountaineers by a total of 25-6 in the doubleheader with the second win coming via run-rule in seven innings.The doubleheader came on the eve of Sunday's Senior Day when four graduating seniors – Jack Atkinson, Christian Ezzel, Jason Jucker and Matthew Scavotto – will be honored in a special pre-game ceremony. Scavotto (4-4) made his senior weekend start a memorable one, earning the win after pitching 6.1 innings allowing four runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts. Junior Nathan Sanders (5-1) earned the win after a strong performance on the mound, striking out eight and allowing just one earned run on five hits over six innings. Cesar Rodriguez relieved Sanders and pitched a shutout inning allowing just one hit.

Christopher Newport swept Mary Washington in a Senior Day doubleheader on a beautiful spring day at Captains Park on Saturday, winning game one by a score of 4-3 and game two 4-2. Daniel Elliott earned the save in both games, moving up to third all-time at CNU with eight this season. The Captains' bullpen had a terrific day in the twin bill, allowing just three hits in 8.0 shutout innings pitched between the two games. Danny Checkosky (3-0) picked up the win out of the pen in game one, striking out three in two innings of work before Elliott slammed the door with a perfect 1-2-3 ninth; and Kyle Lewis (1-0) earned his first career win with 3.0 strong frames in game two, striking out three ahead of a two-inning save for Elliott.

St. Olaf College got home runs from three different hitters in a 10-4 win in game two after a 14-2 loss to Concordia-Moorhead in game one on Saturday at Mark Almli Field. In game one, Concordia (10-8, 5-4 MIAC) scored five first-inning runs and never looked back, as all nine starters had at least one hit in the win. St. Olaf (11-12, 5-6 MIAC) responded in game two, getting home runs from sophomores Sam Lavin and Joey Glampe, in addition to the first collegiate home run by first year Justin Isaacson, on its way to earning a split.

Case Western Reserve University senior outfielder Cole Jarrett broke a 7-7 tie with a walk-off single in the first game of the day, and first-year outfielder Nick Harms connected on a walk-off two-run home run to lead the team to a 4-2 win in the second game, as the Spartans swept a doubleheader against Washington University (Mo.) at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday. With the two wins, the Spartans improved to 20-16 overall and to 11-4 in University Athletic Association play, and will enter the final day of conference competition in a dead tie with Emory for first place in the standings. CWRU can clinch at least a share of the title with a win on Sunday in the series finale with the Bears. Harms finished the day three-for-nine with a home run in each contest, and now has a team-high seven this season, tied for the seventh most in a season in program history. Six of his seven home runs have come in UAA games, the most among conference players this season.
