Lucas Luedtke 

Luedtke is coming in to the final round with once of his best games as he recorded his first career three-home game with two solo shots and a two-run blast. in the super regional win over UW-Whitewater. He is the old man in the dugout having started his college career with Minn-Morris in 2017.

LHP Caleb Krommenakker

Krommenakker was tied for the most starts on the Pointers pitching staff completing one game, a shutout and contributed to two other shutouts this season. He has enjoyed offensive support with an average of more than three runs a game in which he appears.

Aaron Simmons 

Fifth year senior Simmons is well decorated, earning All-Region honors in each of the last three full seasons and All-American this year and in 2021. His 20 home runs this season sets a new season record, beating the previous mark of 18 set in 2005.

LHP Sidney Ferry 

Earlier this month, Ferry snaged his second-consecutive first-team All-WIAC honor. In the Stevens Point regional, he made three appearances with five scoreless innings.

Scouting report

  • UW-Stevens Point is making their first appearance since 2013. Overall this is their sixth College World Series appearance.
  • Head Coach Nat Richter, a two-time WIAC Coach of the Year, is no stranger to the DIII College World Series. He played for the Pointers when UWSP went to the CWS in 2006, finishing fifth.
  • The Pointers open with Salisbury for their first ever meeting.UW-Stevens Point has never played Catholic but has just one game against Marietta, a 2-1 loss in the 2006 D-III World Series.
