Jackson Roberts OF Matthew Cooper

Matthew Cooper became the first Blue Jay to be named as the Centennial Conference Player of the Year since Connor Reynolds in 2017 and the 13th player in school history to earn the honor. Cooper is the conference's triple crown leader with a .456 average, 21 homers and 57 RBI's. His 21 homers are a school and conference record for the most home runs in a single season.

  • Johns Hopkins has won both super regionals they have participated in, the other being in 2019. With the win, the Blue Jays advanced to their sixth College World Series and second in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Johns Hopkins will be looking for their first National Championship in baseball.
  • Number one teams have not fared well with just two top ranked teams entering the NCAA Playoffs (Cortland in 2015 and Eastern Connecticut State in 2022) winning the DIII World Series in the last 10 years.
