HOW IT HAPPENED

  • MSOE (27-16, 18-6 NACC) jumped out quickly by reaching on a single and then stealing second and then advancing to third on a groundout. AJ Le then stepped in a took a moonshot into the left field for his second home run of the year to give the Red & White a quick 2-0 lead. Zach Brzezinski got the nod on the mound and kept Edgewood (23-22, 13-11 NACC) hitless through 2.2 innings and just one base runner through five innings.
  • In the bottom half of the fifth, the Raiders struck once again with Le at the plate and he singled into left to bring in Joe Stried before advancing to second put the Eagles in a sticky situation to let Christian Bosque streak home to score as well. Jordan Skolmar stepped in next and continued the hot bats, singling into right field to score Le to make it 5-0.
