AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Sophomore Mike Campisi (Kings Park, NY / Kings Park) threw a complete game, five-hitter - all singles - to lead the Rensselaer baseball team to a 5-1 win over #23 Keystone. A righthander, Campisi struck out eight in helping the Engineers improve to 3-1 on the season. The Giants fall to 2-2.
Offensively, junior outfielder Art Levenson (San Diego, CA / University City) had a pair of run-scoring singles with two runs and freshman catcher Brandon Galluppi (Clifton Park, NY / Shenendehowa) was 3 for 3 with three singles, a stolen base and two runs scored. Sophomore Jonny Rio (Maplewood, NJ / Columbia) went 2 for 4 with a pair of runs batted in.
Defensively, Galluppi threw out both base runners attempting to steal and Levenson turned in a spectacular, highlight reel diving catch that resulted in a double play.
