Trinity Baseball Hammers Hamilton In Doubleheader Sweep

Auburndale, Fla. – Sophomore Stephen Rogers (Watertown, Mass.) went 5-for-6 with fourruns, a double, and a triple to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 6/23-2/0 doubleheader sweep over the Hamilton College Continentals in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) crossover baseball action this afternoon at Lake Myrtle Field.  Trinity improves to 5-3 and Hamilton falls to 3-7. 

Trinity freshman Patrick Carbone (North Wales, Pa.) pitched into fifth inning and allowed one earned run and two hits with three strikeouts in the first game, while junior lefty James Ramsey (Belmont, Mass.) surrendered three hits and one walk with 6 K's in five innings to earn the win on the mound in the second game.  Trinity scored eight times in the second inning and 11 times in the fifth innings of game two.  Sophomore Stephen Howard (Cheshire, Conn.) went 5-for-6 in the second game with two runs and three RBI, and classmate Michael Rueger (Teaneck, N.J.) was 3-for-4 with two runs in the opener.
