CONWAY, Ark. (March 27) – Hendrix College earned its fourth win in seven days over a Top-25 team after defeating No. 10 Trinity University, 9-8, on a cold and windy Sunday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Hendrix (13-11, 9-7 SCAC/3rdW) sent Trinity (21-8, 9-5 SCAC/2ndW) packing with two losses after a come-from-behind effort for the Warriors in the seventh. Hendrix trailed 7-3 heading into the bottom half until the Warriors rallied for six runs on five hits and an error.

First year Collin Radack (3-for-5, 2 R, 1 RBI) ignited the rally with a one-out double down the left field line. Senior Jeff Forgerson (2-for-5, 2 R, 1 RBI) junior Nathan Harr (3-for-5, 2 RBI) junior Aaron Bowen (1-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI) and Radack all collected one-run singles, while junior Andrew Thames (2-for-3, 1 R, 2 RBI) and first year Nick Richardson pushed runs across on free passes.

First year right-hander Will Harris scattered seven hits, seven runs (four earned), three walks and two strikeouts over 6.0 innings to set the pace. Senior left-hander Jordan Suydam fired 1.2 frames of quality work and allowed just two hits to improve to 3-0 on the year.

Senior righty Gabe Levin grabbed the save by working the Warriors out of a jam in the eighth. First year Justin Mosbey slammed the door shut in the ninth with a K swinging on the final out.

The Warriors stole two games from the Tigers on the weekend after taking two contests from then No. 24 Millsaps College on March 19 and 20. Hendrix currently holds a 1.5 game lead over Southwestern University in the SCAC West. The Warriors are just a half-game back from Trinity (9-5) and 2.0 games back from Millsaps (8-4).
