GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan broke a 2-2 tie with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Franklin & Marshall 6-2 in a nonconference baseball game on Friday afternoon. The Diplomats fell to 0-2 while Rowan improved to 3-1.

J.T. Triantos went one for four with one run scored and one RBI. Eric Bornstein picked up a hit with one RBI. Matt Will scored a run.

Marc Magliaro scored two runs while Nick Turano posted one hit and one RBI for Rowan. Brandon Winkler picked up a hit, scored a run and stole two bases. Scott Weaver scored twice, while Matt Citro contributed with one run scored and one RBI.

The Diplomats went up 1-0 in the top of the first inning. With two outs, Triantos singled through the left side. Designated hitter Blue Wells walked and Bornstein followed with a RBI single to center field which plated Triantos.  

Rowan tied the game in the bottom of the second. Magliaro reached first on a fielder's choice and stole second. Winkler's line drive to center field was mishandled and Magliaro came home.

In the top of the third, Will reached first on an error and moved to second on a passed ball.  He advanced to third and scored on back-to-back ground outs. In the bottom half, Weaver was hit by a pitched and stole second.  With two outs, Turano hit a single to left field that scored Weaver and tie the game.

Magliaro led off the seventh with a single to left field and Winkler was hit by a pitch.  Magliaro went to third on a passed ball and Winkler stole second on the next pitch. Citro got on base on an error bringing Magliaro home and moving Winkler to third. Citro stole second base.  

Winkler came home on a wild pitch and Citro crossed the plate on a throwing error by the catcher.  Weaver and O'Brien had consecutive walks. They each advanced one base because of an obstruction call. A wild pitch allowed Weaver to score the sixth run.

F&M returns to action tomorrow with a double-header versus No.2 Kean.
