Mike Nodzenski '12 shattered one record and tied two more during the Grinnell College baseball team's twin bill split with Monmouth College Saturday at North Diamond.

In the opening game, an 18-1, seven-inning win, Nodzenski broke the school record for RBI in a game with nine and tied the record for homers in a game with three. The previous RBI mark was seven by Landon Boyer in 1993, and three homers in a game has now been achieved three times, twice by Nodzenski.

Nodzenski also homered in the second game, a 9-8 loss, to reach 12 round-trippers for the season. That equals Paden Roder's '10 mark set last season.

In six games during the week, Nodzenski hit .625, going 15-of-24 at the plate with seven homers, a double and 19 RBI. A home run against Simpson College earlier in the week was estimated having traveled more than 525 feet.
