DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's baseball team scored seven runs in the seventh inning to earn an 8-3 comeback-victory over Haverford College Tuesday afternoon at Bob Reed Field.  The Wolverines are now 13-4 on the season while the Fords fall to 7-8.

Trailing, 3-1 going into the bottom of the seventh, Wesley finally solved Haverford starter Bryan Henrick.  Bryan Reshetar was plunked to lead off the inning and a single by Casey Rothwell advanced him to second. Matt Robles then laid down a bunt single down the third-base line and a throwing error allowed Reshetar to score and advanced Rothwell to third.  Rob Benedict then tied the game with a single to left, scoring Rothwell. 

Now tied at three with still nobody out, Jon Carlson doubled to the gap in left center to score Robles while Benedict advanced 90 feet to third.  After Sam Farnell was retired, Geoff Kimmel reached third on a double and got to third on an error by the second baseman which scored both Benedict and Carlson.  Morgan Rupp then homered down the right-field line to give the Wolverines an 8-3 lead.

Andrew Cooper (1-0) earned the victory in relief by allowing just one hit in three innings.  Tommy Reapsome started on the mound for Wesley, and allowed just two earned runs over five innings but got the no-decision, and Rich Lober retired the side in the ninth.

The Wolverines outhit the Fords, 10-6, led by multi-hit games by Benedict and Kimmel.  Benedict also scored a pair of runs to go with a double and a stolen base.

Next up for Wesley is a home non-conference matchup with Randolph-Macon on Thursday, March 22 at 3:30 pm.
