OWU (10-7, 1-3 NCAC West) scored in the first inning to take an early lead over the Little Giants, but in similar fashion to Saturday's games Wabash responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. Chris Deig started with a single up the middle, moving to second on a sacrifice bunt by Tanner WatsonJohn Holm drew a walk, then both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Montana Timmons drove home the first run of the game on a groundout to short. Wabash took advantage of a two-out error by the Battling Bishops' left fielder to plate another run in the inning.

The Little Giants exploded for four runs in the fourth when Timmons led off with a single through the left side. John Pennington's sacrifice bunt sent Timmons to second. A walk to Andrew Rodgers put two runners aboard, with both moving up a base on another wild pitch. A walk to Tyler Owensby loaded the bases for Tyler Hampton, who promptly drilled a two-run double down the left field line. Robby Hechinger emptied the bases with another two-run double to left-center to put Wabash up 6-1.

Ohio Wesleyan rallied for two runs in the fifth and two more in the final inning off starter Chris Widup. Reliever Luke Zinsmaster came into the game with two runners aboard and two outs to retire the final batter of the game on one pitch to earn his second save of the season.

Widup worked 6-2/3 innings, allowing five runs on 12 hits with only one walk. He stuck out two batters while improving to 3-0 for the seasons.

Deig, Timmons, Rodgers, Hampton, and Hechinger each had one hit as the Little Giants managed just five total base hits in the contest off the pitching combination of Greg Hock and Billy Cooper.

OWU silenced the Little Giants' bats in Sunday's second game. Timmons broke up a no-hitter by Battling Bishops' starter Kevin Schindler in the fourth inning with a single through the left side. Rodgers collected the only other hit for Wabash in the contest.

Starter Jeff Soller took the loss in game two, pitching 4-1/3 innings and allowing seven total runs and three earned on 10 hits with two walks and one strikeout. Austin Hawn gave up four earned runs on a grand slam by Tim Knezovich in 2/3rds of an inning of work. Hawn surrendered three hits and one walk. Luke Holm closed out the final two innings for the Little Giants, giving up two hits while striking out one batter and holding the Bishops scoreless.

Wabash is 11-10 for the season and 3-1 in the NCAC West division. The Little Giants are at home on Wednesday for a non-conference game against Anderson University at 4 p.m. before traveling to Springfield, Ohio to play at Wittenberg University in a four-game NCAC series Saturday and Sunday.
