GREENSBORO, N.C. – Jason Feldmann's two-run double keyed Greensboro College's five-run eighth inning that helped the Pride past Guilford College, 11-9, in Tuesday night's baseball game at NewBridge Bank Park.

Greensboro (17-10) overcame a 6-0 fifth-inning deficit to sweep the two-game season series with Guilford (13-13). The Pride batted around and tied the game with six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Feldmann delivered a two-out, two-run single in the frame and scored on Steve Pfeiffer's homer one batter later.

Guilford regained a 7-6 edge on Casey Mann's sacrifice fly in the seventh, but Greensboro erupted for five runs in the eighth inning to take an 11-7 advantage. Two walks, a hit batsman, a wild pitch and a catcher's interference call prolonged the decisive frame. Bill Wooding's run-scoring groundout plated the go-ahead run before Feldmann doubled two batters later.

Feldmann went three-for-five with four runs batted in. Pfeiffer and Seth Caison had two hits apiece for Greensboro. David Schilling (4-2) picked up the win in relief, despite yielding two unearned runs in the ninth.

Sophomore John Macon Smith paced the Quakers with three doubles and three RBI. D.J. Phillips had two hits, including a two-run hit in Guilford's five-run fifth. Justin Pittman also had two hits and stole a base. Reliever Ryan Lindsay (2-2) threw scoreless innings in the sixth and seventh innings before running into problems in the eighth.
