Freshman Bobby Sanzone got the Sea Gulls going with a one-out triple to right field before O'Neill bounced one through the left side for a 1-0 lead. O'Neill stole second and moved to third on a throwing error by Joseph Knazek followed by a Root base hit up the middle that made it 2-0. Next up, Joey Jones shot another one through the left side to put runners on first and second. After Root advanced to third on a fly ball, he came home when Connor's RBI single traveled back through the box.

Immaculata (8-12) got a run back in the fourth when Matt Hardy double to lead off the inning and scored from third of a wild pitch with two outs.
