(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College baseball scored seven runs in the eighth inning to come-from-behind to defeat Ohio Wesleyan University today (Tuesday, April 10, 2012) in a non-conference game at Thomas More Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 16-8 and with the loss, the Battling Bishops fall to 15-12.

Thomas More entered the eighth inning trailing 3-2 as OWU scored a run in the third, the fourth and seventh inning and the Saints plated two in the fifth.  The Saints scored seven runs in the eighth inning on one hit and then held OWU scoreless in the top of the ninth inning for the 9-3 victory.

Three Saints had multiple hits in the game as junior designated hitter Ryan Darner (Burlington, Ky./Covington Catholic) was two-for-five with a home run, a double, five RBI and a run scored, junior shortstop David Kennett (Grove City, Ohio/Grove City) was three-for-four with a double, a RBI and two runs scored and senior first baseman Andrew Thole (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) was two-for-three.

Freshman pitcher Ethan Fleming (Heath, Ohio/Heath) earned the win on the mound as he pitched one inning of relief and gave up one hit and struck out one.

Thomas More returns to action tomorrow when it hosts Centre College in a non-conference game at 4 p.m. at Thomas More Field.
