Baseball: Titans Win 10-2 on Senior Day

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College recognized 11 seniors today before topping Waynesburg 10-2 in the Titans' last home game of the season. The Titans improved to 23-15 overall and 14-8 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 22-16 overall and 11-11 in conference play.

Westminster senior pitcher Justin Prejsnar (New Castle, PA / New Castle) earned his team-high fifth complete game of the season and goes to a team-best 7-1 overall. Prejsnar gave up two runs (one earned) off eight hits. He struck out five batters and walked two.

Junior Kyle Allen (New Wilmington, PA / West Middlesex) led the Titans' offense as he went 4-for-5 at the plate with one run and two RBIs. Senior Justin King (Fombell, PA / Riverside) went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a walk, and an RBI. Senior Steve Perrotta  (New Castle, PA / New Castle) led the defense with a game-high nine assists.

Already leading 1-0, Westminster lifted its score to 7-0 after a six-run second inning. Junior Tyler Robinson (Creston, PA / Norwayne) led off with a home run, his team-leading fourth of the year. Also earning an RBI for Westminster were Allen and seniors Perrotta, King, and Tim Wiand (Pottstown, PA / Owen J. Roberts).

Westminster finishes the regular season tomorrow as it travels to Waynesburg for a PAC doubleheader. Game one is slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
