The #7/10 Cougars (5-1) answered right back in their first at-bat as senior Nick Ramagli lofted a sacrifice fly to knot the game at one.  Junior Tyler Smarslok scored on the play after reaching via a leadoff walk.

Kean took the lead for good in the bottom of the second as rookie Connor Paglia registered an infield RBI single, scoring junior Shane Alvarez who reached on a two-base error.

The score would remain that way until the bottom of the eighth as Kean plated five, aided by four walks and a hit batsman in the inning.  Smarslok was the only Cougar to record an RBI via a hit in the inning, beating out ball in the hole.
