WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Craig Conway surrendered a homerun to the second batter he faced in his first collegiate start, but he settled down from there and the Albion College hitters supplied more than enough offensive support as the Britons routed Greenville College, 16-2, at Chain Of Lakes Park.

Conway yielded seven hits and two walks. He struck out two.

Brendan Diamond and Adam Mazza rapped RBI singles and Davin Montgomery slugged a two-run double as Albion erased the early deficit with a four-run second inning.

Albion plated two more runs in the third as Diamond lifted a sacrifice fly to score B.J. Konkle and Anthony Cappelletty drew a bases-loaded walk.

Eric Shimmel scampered home on Konkle's sacrifice fly in the fourth.

Albion broke the game open by scoring six times in the fifth. Montgomery lifted a sacrifice fly and Eric Shimmel, Michael Fischbach and Diamond all laced RBI singles.

Diamond finished the day with four RBI when Shimmel scored on a groundball that was misplayed by the Greenville shortstop in the seventh.

Montgomery collected two hits and three RBI. Mazza and Spencer Bonofiglio produced two hits apiece.

Albion, now 2-2 on the year, visits Pat Thomas Stadium in Leesburg, Fla., Thursday for a matchup with Transylvania University.
