Louisiana College took game one of their doubleheader against LSU-Alexandria on Wednesday night by a final score of 7-2, highlighted by a big four-run fourth inning.

The scoring began in the bottom of the fourth when Mark Riendeau doubled down the left field line to bring in Matt Scott and Matt Russell. Junior catcher Kyle Feazell followed Riendeau's double with a line shot that got over the left center field wall for a two-run home run, his first home run in a Wildcat uniform.

LC also collected RBI singles from Feazell in the first inning and Jake Hillman in the third inning.

Senior center fielder Cole Bagbey provided some extra insurance in the sixth, scoring a run on a throwing error by the catcher after stealing second and third base.

Senior right-hander Seth Webster picked up the win in game one, tossing two scoreless frames while giving up just one hit.

Game two of LC's doubleheader with LSU-A began with two quick innings from starting pitchers Jacob Trahan of LC and Tanner Olinde of LSU-A.

However, Olinde was taken out with one out in the bottom of the third after giving up a walk to Bagbey, a single to Kade Van Norman, and a hard hit RBI single to Riendeau to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.

The Wildcats would again threaten in their half of the fourth inning, but after shortstop Nic Cole hit into a double play with no outs and a runner on first and second, LSU-A reliever Phillip Ingraffia was able to work out of the jam.

Trahan worked four innings of one-hit ball before giving way to reliever Chris Bridges.

The Generals would then take a 4-1 lead in the top of fifth after they sent 10 batters to plate in the inning, scoring four runs off four hits, highlighted by back-back RBI singles from shortstop Michael Collado and second baseman Jay Bell.

LSU-A would add some final insurance runs in the seventh inning with a two RBI single from Justin Crowell to make it 6-1.

Generals' closer Stefan Porche picked up a three inning save, throwing three shutout frames in relief.

With the doubleheader split, the Wildcats move to 9-8 overall and will prepare for a home non-conference series this weekend against North Central College of Illinois beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
