Playing their final non-conference weekend series of the season, the Louisiana College baseball team picked up a 7-5 win over a tough North Central College team on Friday night at Wildcat Field.

After the Cardinals took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, LC would fight back to tie the game in the bottom half if the inning, highlighted by a Cole Bagbey triple and Kyle Feazell double off the left center field wall.

Bagbey eventually scored on a balk, while Feazell and Mark Riendeau both scored on a pass ball later in the inning.

After Kade Van Norman's RBI single gave LC a 4-3 lead in the 2nd inning, North Central would again take the lead after Zac Pacanowski's triple to center field plated two to give the Cardinals a 5-4 lead.

The Wildcats would answer back once again, however, as they scored one run a piece in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to gain a 7-5 advantage.

Bagbey would finish a home run short of hitting for the cycle, as he finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a single, double, triple, and two RBI.

Madison Lachney picked up the win to move to 4-0 on the season, working six innings, giving up eight hits, striking out six, and giving up two earned runs.

Chris Bridges earned his first save of the year on his best outing of the year. The senior from North Vermillion High School worked three scoreless innings, giving up just one hit and striking out six.

Bridges faced the minimum of nine batters in his three innings of work, as the only batter who reached base against him on the night (Charlie Hern) was eventually doubled up on a line out by Pacanowski.

The Wildcats move to 10-8 on the season with the win and will face North Central on Saturday in a doubleheader beginning at noon.
